This place is terrific! My wife and I moved here together after getting married, and have been thoroughly pleased.
The original builder, Scott Homes, included a lot of niceties. Ours has a fireplace, double-doors to the master bedroom, tile in hot spots (no linoleum!), two glass sliding doors to patio, floor to ceiling mirror in bathroom which functioned as the walk-in closet door, see-thru glass paneled cabinetry, architectural styling, large balcony, etc.
The grounds are well kept, almost to the point of being annoying (too much lawnmower noice!). The interior is clean and in good shape (except for the cheap carpet). Staff is responsive, professional, and maintains good communication. Maintenance requests are usually fulfilled within 1-2 days. The neighborhood has always been secure and quiet.
There are a couple negatives. Parking can get bad at night. Gates seem to always be under repair. Pigeon crap has a tendency to make our stairs a bit "crunchy".
I'm not sure what's up with all the other negative reviews. Of course, you'll get the occasional boneheaded tenet who decides to take his dog into the swimming pool or throw heavy objects onto the carport. However, we've never had problems with the staff or our apartment. As long as you do your part (you know: PAY YOUR RENT, FOLLOW THE RULES, BE NICE TO YOUR NEIGHBORS, etc) you'll have a great experience. Good luck!
(Also, try to look for good deals. We got ours for $650 a month on a 12 month lease - and that included water. Otherwise a one-bed runs about $850 per month.)
