Park Meadow
AVERAGE RATING

I've been living at Park Meadow for about 4 months now. The two bedroom layout isn't the best. The living room is very akwardly designed, and it is hard to arrange furniture. We had a new washer/dryer stackable unit put into our apartment recently, which is small, but convenient as you do not have to walk to a laundromat. The second bedroom (my bedroom) is very tiny. It would work better if I had a twin bed, but a queen definitly cramps the space. It would be better used as an office. We've had to replace the thermostat because the one that came with the apartment was very old. It didn't keep the correct temperature that you set it at. The thermometer that is supposed to tell you what the temperature of the house is was off by 5 degrees at least. When we changed it out our electricity bill went down $40. The only major complaint I've had to management is about the broken down cars that are parked in the uncovered parking spaces. We have called management a couple of times. The first time they said they could do something if the registration on the car was expired. We checked the tags, and they were indeed expired. We called back and spoke with one of the female leasing agents, who seemed less than excited to listen to the situation. The leasing agent assured us that she would take care of it. Nothing has happened to date. Management went around and put stickers on cars that appeared to be broken down, but that is as far as that went. It seems like management cares to get you into an apartment, but once you are there good luck.
We never hear our neighbors, so I assume the insulation is adequate. All of the appliances are standard. We had a new fridge when we moved in. The carpeting is worn and gets dirty very easily, because of its color. The linoleum floors are new. The bathrooms are a nice size with nice fixtures. The vertical blinds were new when we moved in. The patio is a nice size and is nice when you can entertain guests outside. The storage closet is also a nice size, with no water heater to take up space. We are able to fit all of our extras in there with room to spare.
All in all, I guess you get what you pay for. If you have room in your budget for a little more rent, I would look some place else with a nicer staff and better layout for the apartment. If $735 is your only option, Park Meadow was the best around for the price.

Yeah, the whole slanted wall thing is NOT cute (even though it seemed like it at first) and makes it hard to decorate. Make sure you SEE the actual unit you are going to move into. The units in the back buildings are older and not as nice as the model. It's an "awkward" apartment at worst. Especially parking and light switches. However, the price is decent, most of the residents are fine, maintenence is nice, the new office staff is nice. The popcorn ceiling sucks and the chandlier thing is ugly. However, good we have been here almost a year and have seen very few bugs. I guess with renting you have your good and your bad. Let me tell ya, I've lived in WAY worse.
