Bad place to live

The apartment complex is old, worn, and noisy. When the neighbors open their doors it sounds like they are coming into your apartment. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors using a plunger in the toilet and taking a shower. There is only one cheap deadbolt on the door that can be opened by anyone with muscle, no tools needed! They do not allow you to install another lock because maintenance is in and out of the apartments constantly with total disregard to the 24-notice requirements.

My A/C broke down four times this past summer and my electrity cost for a one bedroom was over $220 per month for most of the summer. These apartments are old, the appliances are old and not a bit energy efficient and you pay the cost with SRP month after month.

People move in and out constantly and there is a ongoing bug and roach problem. Someone has attempted and succeeded in stealing cars from the property. Assigned parking spots are nowhere near the apartment you rent and guest or second car parking is a nightmare. The office staff is unhelpful, rude, and inexperienced.

The recreation areas, parking areas, and grounds were filled with screaming kids all summer long and the indoor jacuzzi is old and kind of scuzzy looking. People don't pick up after their dogs and feral or left behind cats roam the property. The grass is overwatered resulting in standing water, mud, and mosquitos.

Thank you! I have called the office DOZENS of times about the roaches and the thin walls and neighbors. Guess what they say? That no one else has these problems. They act like ROACHES are NO BIG DEAL! Disgusting!! They NEVER help. The screaming children are a problem, too. I love kids. It's the parents who aren't do anything, and somehow the office women - SELF-described to me and my husband as 'nosy' - never seem to notice. I have seen dog feces around, the assigned parking spots are kind of far away from the apartments, and the door locks are almost useless. I can hear whenever my neighbors shower, shut cabinets, open/shut doors, drop something, roll a ball...and whenever they URINATE! This is NOT a great place to live.

As a mother who has children at these apartments, I truely love it there. If you don't like children being children then I truely suggest moving into a Sr. citizen development. I have not seen any bugs dog feces and I have lived here going on 3 years now. The women in the office are great and have ALWAYS addressed any of my issues in a timely matter. Thank you Sahara for all of your profession and wonderful help with everything. Signed...someone who has your back.

Just got a notice on the door today about vandalism that has been happening around the complex. Spray paint, no less. Sure sign of gangstas to follow. And guess what Someday? I can hear my neighbors "pee" too! Skeyfaye can't because her kids are so loud she can't hear herself think. It sure looked like a mass migration with all the moving trucks on Thursday. Tenants with a way out definitely seem to be packing up and getting out of this roachmotel. Don't you just love the way they shut off the water to whole buildings with no notice at all. And then they leave the water off for hours. When you call to complain they tell you to go shower at the clubhouse because it will be at least 3-4 hours! I have had to drive over to Playa Palms to shower on more than one occasion before I could go to work. ATTN: APARTMENT SEEKERS***** Steer clear of this apartment complex if you have any sense at all. Don't get suckered. I sure do wish I never moved here.

You are so right! I know about 4 other people besides myself who are getting ready to move. I like children as well, but this place has turned into an outdoor Chuckie Cheese. All day and night there are children running around screaming in the halls, and because of the thin walls it feels like it is right in your living room. The older kids are skateboarding and riding there scooters in the middle of the street all day, and the kids leave trash everywhere. I don't blame the kids, I blame the parents. I see Children that look no older then 4 years old running around barefoot with no supervision at all. If these kids are out playing until 9PM, it must mean the parents don't feed them dinner, it's horrible. Nothing is ever done about the noise. Maintenance has time to paint the curbs red all day, but can't seem to pick up the trash. I had seen the same soda bottle in the green belt for a week, finally picked it up myself, along with other trash. As to the person that was suggesting a senior community; is it to much to ask to live in a neighborhood where the children have parents who supervise them? The kids who are outside are very young, no adult in site, and literally destroy the grounds and cause unbearable noise. there is so much I could say about this place, but I will save it for another time.
