I lived in Playa Palms for a year and a half and I am so disgusted by that place. The apartment I lived in was completely infested with roaches. I cleaned and cleaned all day and the manager of the complex told me that the only thing they could do about it was that they could "bomb" the apartment. That is so disgusting and if you have a probelm with nasty roaches, this is not the place where you want to live.
