Pitiful management, drug-dealing neighbors, and scorpions!...and, all the good reviews come from Mngmt

If you hate good customer service, enjoy loud-pot-smoking neighbors, and love scorpions then this is the place for you!
Thanks Serena Shores for perhaps the worst living experience I've ever had. Since I was moving back to AZ from out of state, I decided I would rent an apartment before making a more permanent decision on a home. Big mistake... I wish I would have just jumped right into a house.
Horrible management
Don't expect any love from mngmnt after moving in. Sure they'll lure you in with --- smiles, distinguished grounds, and serene lakes but don't be fooled by the facade. Once you move in, you are the least of their concerns. The friendly smiles are gone, customer service is non-existent, and I'm pretty sure you're file is moved to the "ignore and treat with total disdain" section of the office. Maintanence is slow and management (especially the manager) is extremely rude. The attitude of "Well, you signed a contract so I'm allowed to rape you" has been well instilled in each of their employees.
Drug dealer neighbors
Our neighbors apartment constantly reaked of pot and had a constant flow of "visitors" from about 10PM - 3AM. Tweekers would pound on the door and yell at the tenants inside if the door wasn't opened immediately. The door actually had a huge dent in it for about 2 months because one disgruntled "customer" decided he'd try kicking it down. When I brought it up to manangement, they told me they couldn't do anything about it. Then I'm pretty sure I got a check next to my name so they'd know to treat me as a "complainer" for all future visits to the office, which, by the way, they did very effectively when I told them one of my kitchen drawers was having trouble opening and closing.
Scorpions
These adorable little arachnids are nestled between rocks, under bushes, and between bricks all over the grounds. After the sun goes down, they scurry out and wander in and out of apartments. Expect about 1-2 of these uninvited guests per month inside your apartment. If you feel so inclined, scout the grounds with a black light in the evening and you'll see dozens illuminate the night with their brilliant fluorescent green glow. If this concerns you, don't worry, I was informed by management that they do have pest management services and that "they don't really hurt that bad." And it eased my mind to know that the office has the number to poison control right on hand.
So again, if you hate good customer service, enjoy loud-pot-smoking neighbors, and love scorpions then this is the perfect place for you! You'll love the cozy interior with crusty, paint-stained carpet and hard to open kitchen drawers. But hurry, spots are vacating fast. Act now to lock in a ridiculously overpriced and binding lease - limited to the first 1,000,000 customers.
P.S. - comments by management posing as satisfied tenants will likely follow.

Your review is right on the money. I actually laughed while reading your review, but the sad thing is that you are not really exaggerating. If you live here, especially with a family, there is little room to breathe. The manager is always throwing the contract in our faces and uses it to manipulate everything. Sometimes, unlawfully. Can't wait to move.
