Save yourself the trouble

these apartments seem nice at first. we were taken away by how nice the management was AT FIRST. how nice everything looked! however....dont plan on taking thursdays off of work to sleep in. the grounds crew comes at the butt crack of dawn and starts with noise right by your window and doors. The grounds are not well taken care of. there has been a full trash can by one of the cabanas for a couple weeks now and the table that you can sit at by the grill has has cigarette butts streaked acrossed it for about a month now.
all the reviews about the scorpians are CORRECT! we've seen 3 in our apartment in the last two months and 2 out by the pool. when management is informed they act like its not a big deal. the pest control they have does not work.
we also had a problem with bees. they were good about getting someone out quick to take care of it but when the pest control did it the wrong way they started to come into our apartment. we called the office multiple times explaining we needed help. they said someone was on their way again. after waiting a loooong time for someone to come help....we had about 300 bees in our apartment everywhere! when we asked for help with killing some (this was when there was only 50 or so) management said there was nothing they could do until pest control came back. needless to say, we got a call a week later to make sure everything worked out and was fine now.
the hot tub is always broken. the workout facility sucks. they have machines in there that remind me of what my grandfather used to use. every time we put in a work order, it takes about a week for them to come fix it. they also give you a number to call for security at night. we've tried it twice and both times it doesn't even ring, it just beeps really loud and then no one answers...'
they aren't willing to work with you once you've lived your lease out and need to stay financially around the same figure. our rent would be going up almost 100 a month if we were staying.
also, the quality of the materials and appliances they use is sooo poor! it takes us 3 times to dry a load of laundry in the dryer and everytime we had them come to check it and fix it, they claimed it was our fault for not cleaning the lint out. (funny how I will clean it in the middle of a load just to make sure it's not clogging it up) STILL DOESN'T HELP! the blinds are always breaking. and the shower heads don't even reach over your head.
i would save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
i will say though that the maintenance guys are the friendliest and are always helpful and understanding. but they just do what they are told from management.
