Gilbert Meadows sucks... let me explain why:
- Most residents are stupid. The main drive into the apartment complex is a split driveway. Common sense tells you that you enter on the right of the "guard shack" and exit to the left of it. 90% of the people that live here don't follow the rules of the road. This may sound kind of dumb, but after almost getting in half a dozen accidents, you'll start hating it too.
- There are about 3,000 mexican children running around (all from the same family' I'm still not sure), they pee in the pool, and mess around with your cars
- Maint. has always been pretty quick, but they never fix a problem well. I think they make their own job security by never finishing their work.
- They increased rent to $660 a month. "Wow, that's cheap!" you might be saying to yourself. Considering the 2 bedroom apartment I live in is 630 sq feet, it's not a deal at all!!
- There is no assigned parking, so you never know if you're going to get a space
- The walls are paper thin. I've woken up to 2 different sets of neighbors having sex in the apartment next to me. It sounded like dirty sex too... nasty!
- People pile their trash in the public patio areas, and it starts smelling really bad out there
- The water gets shut off about 2 times a month due to a "water line break". Water is paid for by the apartment, so I think they're just trying to save money
- The water heater has gone out on us about 3 times in the past month :(
- The stove door doesn't open all the way because it scraps against the wall of the laundry room. Management has told us we're going to have to pay to have the wall repaired due to all the scraped paint there... hello' what the eff' Your oven door won't open because of your wall, and I need to pay for it''''
- Our electric bill is $130 per month in the summer to keep it 83 degrees in a 600 foot apartment'!''!!'!'!! Our old place was 950 square feet and cost us $120 to keep it at 75 degrees!

- I didn't make a mistake in that last point, I just thought it was worth repeating.
- The carpets were clean when we moved in, but within 2 or 3 days, old stains started appearing and now it's just filthy. Management said they won't pay for the cleaning and will charge us once we move out
- Please stay away from this place! There are better apartments for about the same price within 2 or three miles of here. I'm stuck in a lease, get out while you can!
