Last year we were hoping to move out because we just couldnt stand it here. I was asking my fiance the other day about where we are going to move to this year and we thought about possibly moving to another pillar community and decided that we would probably have just as horrible issues at another location that we do here. My fiance has called management so many times because of our stained carpet, counter tops and linolium. Also, our dishwasher was broken from day one. After many weeks the maintenance guy finally came out to fix it and it wasnt worth it. We finally had to pull it out ourselves and clean it and it was discusting. We dont even use it anymore because it doesnt clean the dishes, it leaves them looking worse then when we put them in there. We have rented a carpet cleaner so many times to try and get the place clean and the stains that were there before we moved in just wont come out. Now after seeing how many problems others have had with moving out we are worried that when we try to leave after the two years we've been here we will have problems because of the carpets etc...My fiance has tried contacting the office to get these things taken care of from day one and still after two years, no one has done anything. The partiers above us finally moved out, but a few weeks ago there was a party in the building next to us and there was a girl screaming and it woke us, of course worried that something bad may be happening, and when we looked outside it was a bunch of drunk kids yelling and the girl was yelling that one of the boys broke her arm. Needless to say nothing was done. We have pretty much given up on the staff because everytime we have called about the parties, violence, and issues with the apt. they dont do anything. Not worth the thousand dollars we pay in rent. We have been looking at apartments on the other side of town and so far, they all have been better, and I have also been looking up their ratings and I will NEVER live in another Pillar Community again. The people who like it here are the people who havent had issues and havent needed to rely on the maintenance or the management for something. Another sign that Maintenance is non-existance...We got home one weekend and saw that someone had dropped a bottle of salsa right at the bottom of the stairs. Of course there was glass everywhere and salsa so we had to steer our daughter out of the way. We figured that it would be cleaned up either by whoever dropped it, or at least but the maintenance team. But, of course, it took over a week. The maintenance team should be walking the grounds dailey to make sure its clean and or safe. It was rediculus. We both cant wait to get out of these apartments. And the gates...You may as well not even call it a gated community really.
