When we moved in, it was Northwood Apartments. Within 2 years, they have changed managers 4 times. It is now Arroyo Vista. The only person who speaks clear English is the manager of the property. None of the tenants in the apartment abide by the rules as stated in the lease. It is not uncommon to see people riding bikes, fixing cars (beyond just checking the oil and water), playing loud music between 10pm and 7am, or having illegal yard sales. However, I should say the rules are selectively enforced, depending on what race you are. People of Hispanic origin seemingly get away with anything and everything. If someone of Anglo, or --------American descent decided to sell some of their possessions, then they receive notice that they are breaking rules. This has actually happened to us once and we have observed this happen numerous times to our other neighbors.
Besides the racial inequities, the maintenence staff does mediocre work. For as much as we paid for our apartment, we were not getting the value for what we were paying. The swimming pools were constantly closed or dirty. The spas were not heated. The grounds were messy. The apartments are bug infested.
Besides being incredibly unsanitary, the apartments are HIGHLY overpriced. We just moved into an apartment that is twice as big, has an extra bed, bath, ceiling fan, and washer/dryer combo...and we're paying only $50 more.
The only positive we could say about the place is our parking spot was literally right next to our door and we had no problems with car security.
Don't let the model that they show you fool you. The actual apartments are really not that nice.

Almost every apartment complex in this area is infested with roaches and they can be gotten rid of with a bug spray of some type.

Actually a good management company should spray to keep pests out esterminators can treat a complex with out going into each unit. Go ver the head of the management to get things done. check http://www.maricopa.gov/Assessor/ParcelApplication/Default. enter the address and tell the owner, then you will get what you need. I have done that, and the management got it done!
