which part of 'not too shabby' is country gables all about.. let's see...

* I always thought that hearing my neighbor walk upstairs is a 'normal' part of apartment living - it turns out that this is NOT the case in a well-insulated and properly built apartment! I moved to Scottsdale to a new apt this May, and wow what a difference! I swear each and every night in Country Gables was a "noise disturbance" night

* Security gate' What gate'!'! It's always broken.. once last winter the gate was totally broken, the whole residence who had their car parked in could not get out!

* Staff attitude - with the new management, for a while it used to be better when Kirsty was around.. but Kirsty has since left and a difficult lady has since taken her place

* Again, NOISE, NOISE, NOISE!!! This apartment is populated by Thunderbird students with their parties. Once I had an Indian neighbor in front of me who threw parties late until 4-5 am. They don't even have to stand outside in the patio to be loud, with Indian music banging all night long. Plus, the apts are really close together, making noise an even more greater problem

* Air conditioning - once my AC broke down at 5pm smack dab in the middle of July 2003!!! Maintenance came by but said that they couldn't fix it as it was then past 6pm when they came - promised to fix it the next morning. I had to spend the entire night somewhere else as it was BLOODY HOT. The problem with AC in Country Gables is, yes it is cold, but it is also OLD. Water keeps on dripping from my unit, and this is a common problem throughout many of the apartments

So folks, decide for yourself whether this is a place for you or not - if you want to stay in a dump, sure.. go for it
