rent on move in with a discount fromthe companymy husband works for was 1,049 for a 3 bedroom. we leased so it was supposed to be "locked in" rent continued to "creep up" slowly. We'd recieve reciepts for 1,149.00 with noclear explanation as to why. After 2 years it is now 1,2060 with the explanation that ALL 3 bedrooms are that price as their marketing value went up. However when the staff said it they hesitated to directly answer my husband at first and stuttered around it before they came up with that answer. the washers are waay too small and over 20 years old. We were told that is considered to still be "quite new" to fix them they tear parts off their other old washers which is supposed to repair the problem. it doesn't. There are also a lot of Large-dog owners here who have no respect for the "pick up after your dog laws" here resulting in dog waste all over each lawn, border and even the sidewalks at times. it is not cleaned up immediately. On walking mydaughter to schooleach day we had to steer clear of the same pile that had been there for over a week plus new piles since then!

My car's window was busted when someone tried to break in. Noonecame forward toinvestigate and onlyone neighbor had any info. This info was never followeduponby staff. since i've have lived here the gates have been broken constantlyby people who force the gate open burning the motors and causing maintenance to be so busy w the gates that they can't help with other repairs. The leaseagreement is sovague on what is allowed and not allowed that they use it as loopholes to slapany lease violationthey can onyou. i hung some attractive curtains which they demanded be taken down as "violatingmy contract yet, I have seen neighbors with ugly broken shades or even taped foil or garbage bags in the windows. The "beautiful lakes" are nothing more than swamps overflowing with dead algae, fish that are often found dead and numerous spiders and sewer roaches as a result of the lakes conditions. The lawns are often brown and ugly due to broken sprinklers too often and they cut down the onlyshade tree inmy yard. reason' said neighbors complained it blocked the sidewalk. Now, the office is filled with complaints that it's gone. it wasn't blocking anything. The AC backed up 3 times causing flooding due to "buried pipes" and the drains for the patios backup during rains causing massive amounts of dirt to pile in the patio. Poor insulation caused my apartment to have a 291.00 electric bill with the ac set on 79 degrees the whole summer. They also charge 2.00 extra to "bill"you for the water, sewage and trash. I found it overall worsening each year we stayed. Staff is one-two people, hardlyever available, answering machine pickup during all office hours. repeated scripted answers to any assistance needed. We are moving at end of our lease. why' straw that broke our backs. Scorpions that the office could care less about. We have a one year old and after seeing a scorpionin the bathroomwe called to exterminate due to the fact it got away before i could destroy it. offfice refused tosend anyone out till tues. It was wednesday. not acceptable having a scorpion loose in the home with a baby who could get stung. They also refused to fumigate or even bomb the apartment. "too much in costs"

Pros' several lovely neighbors , an adequate kitchen and roomy closets.

Temporary stay' maybe. Long term NO. was told by one of the maintenance staff there that the place does not like to spend money so they maintain as cheaply as possible. mostly at the tenants expense.

The electric bill mentioned by this reviewer is not exaggerated - the insulation in this place is pathetic. $250 electric bills in the summer (with a TWO bedroom apartment)? Welcome to the Isle - you better start saving up now. Though decent when I moved in about a year ago, the lakes are also getting pretty scummy. They're about a foot below what they usually are, and you can see a lot of swamp grass choking whatever was trying to live there. The gates work about 50% of the time, otherwise they just remain open. The management is rude, unhelpful, and generally useless except for taking your check every month. As the reviewer said above, don't expect them to be there during "office hours". Management is frequently gone, and when the package delivery services come by and find a locked office door, you'll be waiting an extra day or two to get your stuff. I'm moving out in a month and at this point, I'm counting the minutes.

I finally moved out. good riddance. the fish are dying, the ducks are dying and maintenace says the office only responds to problems they report, not the consumer. Its also a rip off because to break my lease it cost 1378.00 because they scared us into thinking it wouldnt be rented out for months possibly as all the listing and cleaning and fixing up could take time. maintenace states they can turn a place in a week! they already had my place listed and rented a month before i moved out! what does that mean for the office? rent for thwe same month paid twice between two families. one moving out and the other in. ALSO, NOT SEEING MY DEPOSIT EITHER. THEY ARE NOTORIUS FOR SQEEZING MONEY FROM YOU FOR THE STUPIDEST REASONS. THEY CHRGE ME 2.00 TO BILL ME MY WATER BILL! 2.00 JUST TO GIVE ME A BILL SAYING I OWE WATER TRASH AND SEWER?????? DOG ---- EVERYWHERE!!! MULTIPLE FAMILIES LIVING IN ONE THREE BEDROOM HOME WHEN ONLY ONE IS ON THE LEASE. SAME FAMILIES BREEDING DOGS???!!! IN THE APARTMENTS NO LESS! TURNING IT INTO A PUPPY MILL! WHICH RESULTS IN WHINING PUPPIES DAY AND NIGHT, LOUD MUSIC AT ODD HOURS, THUNDERING PEOPLE OVER YOUR HEAD WHILE YOU PATHETICALLY TRY TO SLEEP AND GO TO YOUR JOB. do they care? no because 3 of them don't work! police state its the apartments job to ensure noise contro and safety while the apartment states they can do nothing, its the police that do.. riiiight. like above says, broken gates, stolen cars, vandalised cars, several vandalised , robbed apartments in one year. gates do not equal safe! you'd be safer sleeping in a cardboard box. The office is rude in a sugary sweet roll eyeballs and invent some reason or fabricated lie to blatently back up their loop holed leases and policies and yes, they do favor people! there is a cliqe there. you belong then your life is better you don't then oh well..... i am soo glad I am gone!!!! definitly not a family friendly place!!!! my new home has a yard! wooot! yes i do sound a bit crazy but thats because this place drives you crazy.... we lost so much money fixing and paying for their crummy old appliances and lost hundreds of dollars worth of clothes due to a nail that was in the washer liner of th "new" washer that was in our apt. It was ripping holes in my clothing, blankets... they "fixied" it. more holes. finally a smart maintenance man came and pried everything apt. found the nail! apt wouldn't cover damages though.. their renters insurance is to cover their stuff, not yours so you'd best get insurance to cover your stuff... congrats to the guy above on your move... it'll be worth it.
