I have been here for a year and just love it here. I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about. In my experience, managment has always acted promptly in resolving any complaints I had. I understand that they have to follow a procedure and it does take time to do things legally. Coming from a previous complex where management could care less, it's nice to live in a complex where you know your concerns are being addressed. I have had to make several complaints against some partying neighbors and unleashed dogs and I usually see a note on their door within 2 days of my complaint. Now whether or not the tennants comply is another matter...
The same goes towards maintenance issues. They are always out within 2 days and are very friendly and communicative.
The grounds are well-kept and I have never smelled any odor from the lake. Last summer, the lakes did look murky but it was resolved and clean within a few weeks.I love walking around the grounds and seeing ducks and turtles. It's quite amusing to have them follow you while you walk. I do remember a few times last year seeing some small dead fish, but it's been awhile since I've noticed that. No bug issues either. The occasional cricket and some spider webs on the patio.
The apartments are insulated very well. I only occasionally hear the next door neighbor's TV and the upstairs neighbors. The majority of the people here are very nice. I remember I was unloading some boxes from my car on moving day and the upstairs neighbors saw me and promptly introduced themselves. The lady also told me that if they got too loud, to come up and tell them. It really made an impression on me.
It's very quiet here. We have had some issues with the early 20-somethings next door who like to party on their patio after midnight on the weekends. I did call the police on this and it seems to have helped (for the time being anyway). They also take up all the free parking spaces when they have their friends over and have even parked in our covered space and the neighbor's space. They are the one and only negative I can think of about living here.
If I did have one suggestion, it would be to try and make more available uncovered parking. When landscaping cleans up the trees (has happened twice since I've been here), a big dumpster is placed in the parking spaces and parking becomes an absolute nightmare after 5 pm, as there are no places to park. Whenever neighbors have lots of visitors over, the same thing occurs. Also, better lit uncovered parking would be nice.
I used to think living in the Arrowhead area was something my budget couldn't afford. This complex is one of the most affordable in this area and management even offers specials that make your lease more affordable (even when you renew they do this)! I really appreciate them offering that option. We also got the option of upgrades when we renewed instead of the usual $100 off the next month rent and carpet cleaning. They really are friendly and helpful and since the complex is small, they actually know who you are!
The apartment layouts offer a lot of space. I highly recommend this place. But not for the young, first apartment people, as those of us who live here really like the peace and quiet.
