I have lived here for almost 2 weeks. Tuesday of last week (July 14, 2009)- I called the front office about our ant problem. I have NEVER dealt with ants ever. I swear. They were everywhere. I have a 2 year old and a 7month old. When anyways, when I called they said we can't do anything until Thursday (July 16, 2009)- when the pest guy comes. So when my fiancee came home around 2pm, I had him call and he got no where...they ignored him for a few hours. And finally just before they closed the manager called and said we have someone coming tomorrow. Well Wednesday came and the pest guy barely sprayed anywhere. He didn't even look around- I told him the whole story and he said well let me spray they will see what happens...

So in the middle of all this let me tell you my 2 year old is covered in ant bites/welts and also rashes. I have been takign pictures- of course. And when I say he's covered I mean covered...head, face, back, feet, arms, legs,hands, where his diaper lays on his leg...

So Sunday afternoon (July 19, 2009) I was laying on the couch and all of a sudden I was covered. It was sick. I got up and started looking around. In the far corner, they were coming in. We went and got raid because the office is closed on Sunday's and sprayed. We then vaccumed up the dead ants. While vaccuming the carpet in the corner, the carpet pulled up with the vaccum- it is a black pit. I am not kidding. The ants have ate so much of the foundation and inside of the wall. So first thing Monday (today- july 20,2009) Eric and i have been trying to get this resolve- and the management is procratating and saying they can't get someone out there until this evening...oh and we are not staying there. We are at his parents house. and my 2 year old's bites/welts are getting worse. I would not recommend this awful place to anyone. i can add pictures for those of you who want to see.

We've lived here 3 years now and always get help with any problem in our apt. The maintenance men usually get to it right away. We also had an ant problem last year and it was taken care of with ant traps and pest guy spraying. We have a 3 bedroom and we love it here. I would recommend this place to everyone!

I have never experienced any issues like yours while living here; however, if your child is THAT covered, I might go to the doctor and have he/she checked for chicken pox, heat rash or something other than ant bites...especially given that you stayed at your in-laws and its "getting worse". Not sure why your experience is so bad but maintenance has been helpful and very fast everytime I have placed a call; this includes stuff as minor as lightbulb changes and as major as air conditioner issues. Sorry your experience so far has been so difficult but keep in mind that they spray the entire complex (pest control) every 1-2 weeks but bugs (including ants) do occasionally find their way around it. No matter where you go, you will eventually expereince a pest issue. It's normal nature. Also the staff here is the whole reason I chose this complex over many others I looked at; they are warm and understanding, friendly and family focused. I cannot call you a liar because I do not know you, nor did I see your experience first hand, but it is rather perplexing to think that you were somehow "singled out". Perhaps there were other issues they had to deal with like no air conditiner in this extreme heat? Perhaps you were bombarded because we got moisture/rain? Not sure, but I would not be so quick to judge. Hey, you cannot please everyone, no one is perfect. Sorry to hear about your experience and I hope it gets better... best of luck to you and your family.
