I am currently living at Maryland West. I moved in about 2 years ago. This neighborhood is one of the worst in Glendale. The crime is extremely BAD! The complex down the street Arroyo Palms is constantly having police raids. And there are all sorts of gang members walking around all the time. My oldest son got jumped by 3 gang members for his bike. I always see the police but still I see allot of problems unresolved. The good thing is that at this complex the crime is not bad, probably the best around here. That s because almost everyone that works here lives here so they watch everything well. And they even have people that walk around almost every night to check things. The only problem I have is with their maintenance man James. He is the worst man I have ever had from a complex go into my apartment. He will say rude things to you inside your home and if anything brakes it s your fault, NOT BECAUSE IT S OLD! The manager Ariel and Michelle are very respectful. Anytime I go to the office Ariel asks me if I have anything that needs fixed and it get done right away. She is also very involved with the complex and actually cares. Michelle also is a great person that almost everyone here likes. I also love the fact they have functions here like bbq's and things like that. Overall I like living here and it s cheap but just knows the area is not good.
