I am still a resident at Newport Landing and this apartment complex deserves a bad rating. I regret signing my 12 month lease and I can't wait for my lease to be up this upcoming February. The office staff has a bad attitude. They took their time approving our application. I called and cancelled before they kept my deposit and they managed to keep my 50 bucks by saying I never called in when I got reassurance from their office staff that my money would be refunded. They will not take their washer and dryer out of the unit. They told us that there was no washer and dryer in our unit. After we signed our lease and came into our apartment, guess what there was a washer and dryer in the unit. They've told us that they will not take the washer and dryer out of the unit because a washing machine fell on one of their maintenance workers. We just bought ours before moving to Arizona. So, now we have their Washer and dryer sitting in our dining room and have no place to put a table. We were told that this was not their problem and told us that we better not use our balcony as storage.
They've repainted our covered parking and it's been over 2 months and have not put our parking space number. Basically, anyone can park at our space and we can't do anything about it. My husband complained to the office staff and the brain dead office worker told us once again that this is not her problem.
This can go on and on.

I am a resident. Sorry you are going through this stuff. If I were you Id just sell my washer and dryer, and use theirs. So if it breaks, they have to fix it. All the units have w/d's or most of them do.
As for the space numbers, who cares? I mean seriously folks are going to park in their spots or uncovered parking thats closer to their homes.
Girlfriend you just need to take a chill pill. Look at all theyve done to make the place great, painting, and the tvs in the kitchens and repaving the parking lot? These are great plus the new landscaping and painting the buildings! Seriously you need to get a grip and stop being so negative!
At least you dont have neighbors that bring up motor cycles to their apartments above yours and turn the motors on or drop furniture on the ground at 2 in the morning! NOW THAT is something to complain about!

Obviously my very last sentence stated this can go on and on. I didn't feel it was necessary to name every single issue.
Why would I sell my brand new washer and dryer when I was told there wouldn't be one in this unit? Why would I sell mine and use their old broke down ones that was broken when we moved in.
You need to get the grip that you suggested I do and take a common sense pill. I am expressing MY opinion on this complex because had I known about these issues, I would never have moved in. Obviously, I know there is no perfect apartment complex. This complaint is a warning to all future residents.
P.S.
If people believe they have the right to park in my space because it is closer to their apartment, they better pay part of my rent because I'm paying for that space.

You go girl ! This place did not treat us right. Yes, they made their improvements to the parking lot,the re-painting of the buildings, the stereos in the kitchen, wonderful looking grounds........BUT--our HOME, the place we PAID for was literally infested with cockroaches. It was NORMAL to kill at least five live ones a day and when there are a few visible, there are thousands INVISIBLE!! They even got into my microwave oven--alive. I would fear opening up the microwave to heat something up. We sat down and spoke to that new management, DENISE HUNTER, and she said she would ask her boss (owner) if we could be moved to another apartment----she SEEMED compassionate at the moment. It was false hope because her answer(she blamed the "owner") said no because we would bring the roaches to the other apartment. Lame and -------- ! Glad we moved out last November 2007. It was a shame they could take care of the outer and material things, BUT could not or would not take care of their most valuable resource--their paying TENANTS !!! Thank you Christina, for your HONESTY regarding your experience here. JoJo, take thaat REALITY pill ! APARTMENT SEEKERS!!!!!-------I AM COMPELLED TO TELL YOU< DO NOT LIVE HERE !! YOU DESERVE BETTER TREATMENT !!
