This place is a dump and getting worse.

Here are reasons not to live in this dump:
1. No resident manager. After they close the office at 6 p.m., there is no one supervising the inmates in this asylum.
2. No security patrols at all...ever. Cars get vandalized here all the time.
3. Dog owners let their mutts crap all over the lawns here without picking up after them.
4. Kids everywhere on skateboards, razors, bikes, etc. making driving through here a hazard.
5. Residents constantly park illegally, blocking roadways.
6. TONS of noise.
7. Shady-looking, gang-banger type tenants.
8. Front office staff are arrogant, smug and unresponsive.
9. And if that's not enough, the rent is ridiculously high.

I thought that this review was rather comical. 1. There is a manager on site at this complex 24 hrs. a day. Not to mention that after 6:00 p.m. the office calls are all transferred to the manager who is on call all the time. 2. There has possibly been two cars been broken into in the past 6 months and one of those was caught. 3. The dog owners are in fact not cleaning up after their pets however staff cannot run after the animal with a bag to clean up after their them and every time however their are citations. 4. Kids are not allowed on skateboards but how can you tell a child not to play? This would be more of a responsible adult taking care to watch for children and not speed through the complex. 5. Moving trucks cannot park anywhere but in the isles, however cars are always able to pass. 6. There is no noise at any time except perhaps on the weekends when everyone is coming and going. We as a community request that people come out and listen for themselves to hear what they can. Really quiet community. 7. There are no gang banger types here---they don't qualify. However as all parents know, each child is different and we can't tell other peoples children how to dress. 8. Office staff is actually friendly and helpful. As the recession worsens, staff has been trying to keep lists of jobs that are available. They always help those without phones, computers and fax machines. This is more of a family community and everyone helps each other. Rent has dropped on more than one ocassion. It is a sign of the times. In completion, the person that obviously wrote this review has been 1) a disgruntled ex-employee, 2)evicted or 3) moved out due to non-payment of rent. If anyone sees this perhaps they should just come out anytime and see for themselves. It doesn't cost a thing and seeing is actually believing. Just for the record, there are 16 security cameras throughout the community and all staff that work here live here.

The fact that you would think a bad review of your property is comical really gets to the heart of what I was trying to say in point #8 about arrogant and smug front office staff. Thanks for proving my point. Here are my responses to your comebacks: 1)If there is a manager on site, why doesn't that person pick up the phone after hours? Which apartment does that person live in? Why aren't residents told of such a manager? Could it be because one doesn't exist? 2)Only two cars broken in to! You think that's acceptable? What about all the ones that get keyed, flattened tires, nails under tires, kids jumping on hoods? Did you forget about those? Understand this, future tenants, Rancho Santa Fe has NO security between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. If you are locked out of your apartment, too bad. If a neighbor's party or stereo are too loud, tough luck. If someone is blocking your garage, oh well. 3)Thanks for acknowledging that you have a growing sanitation problem because of accumulating dog crap. Here again your arrogance comes into clear view by indignantly stating that your lazy staff cannot pick up after animals. What good are your so-called citations? They didn't solve the illegal parking problem and they won't solve the dog crap issue. 4)Your own lease policy says that children are not to ride bikes, skateboards or play in roadway areas. You yourself have sent out memos to tenants complaining about the kids. So now you're reversing yourself and saying come one come all children and play in the streets where you can get run over by a car? Nice. 5)I'm talking about moving trucks. I'm talking about residents who persist in parking in front of their apartments, either because they're too lazy to walk from the carports or because their garages are so full of junk they cars don't fit. This is a chronic and constant problem and access is difficult and dangerous. 6)If you were there after hours, you would know there is LOTS of noise, kids screaming, loud stereos, parties, dogs barking. But again, no one is in charge of things after 6. 7)Your response to this is either an outright lie or your complete lack of knowledge about your tenants. There are a lot of ADULT gang banger types living in your complex. And thanks for pointing out about the mini-gang banger kids. Spend some time at the pool and look at the tats some of your tenants are sporting. 8)This one made ME laugh. Your staff, including yourself, are consistently rude, condescending and dismissive of tenants requests, needs and concerns. What bothers me the most is you and your staff's constant attempts to gouge money out of tenants, whether they owe it or not. This practice will catch up to you some day, and I hope its soon! 9)I moved out on so-called good terms (end of lease, rent current, apartment clean) and your dishonest office staff claimed I owed you more money and threatened to turn me over to a collection agency. My security deposit was never returned. You and your staff are the immediate problem, but the greater issues is that the Irvine Company is totally ignorant about what goes on here and probably doesn't give a hoot.

That review is VERY comical and full of LIES!! Like the prev. person said. Come see for yourself. The person that wrote the first comment is obviously a disgruntled, unhappy person in life. I actually feel sorry for you! How do you actually make it through life being angry all the time. There is NO abnormal noise here, very quiet, very nice community. I've been here for 2 years and NEVER heard or seen a car broken into! The staff have always been WONDERFUL to us and we just love living here!!
