Be careful because the manager of San Prado posts reviews. It's an inside joke among the residents at Prado and we laugh at management for that. Take for example, the one written on 7/11/07 "great place to live." It's written in a generic brochure-like manner and has a photo of the pool attached; yeah, I'm sure that's just a coincidence. Anway, we decided not to renew our lease because we feel San Prado was a ripoff. I would agree with some of the comments below. The people in the front office are lazy. They will take weeks to fix major items. They didn't offer us any deals to make us want to stay. My girlfriends and I moved to a much nicer and newer apartment in the area.
If I could do it all over again, I would have rented from San Lagos. Those apartments are older but they are designed and constructed better. The service is also better there. I have friends that live at San Lagos and they never have problems getting things fixed. At San Prado, the kitchens are tiny with very little cabinet space. There are tv/internet cable outlets in every room but not all of them can be activated because of the way the apartments are wired. They are not soundproof and you can hear your upstairs neighbor's every footstep, and sometimes you can hear their conversations. The gas lines were not properly installed in some places and one switch will light the wrong burner as an example. Some of the water heaters are inefficient and will cause you to pay 50 dollars more than an average gas bill. Your toilets and showers have water efficiency devices built in so your showers have really low water pressure and your toilet gets clogged easily. When we asked maintenance to remove them, they refused.
The neighbors have gotten trashier over time. When I first got here, most of the people were in the late 20's to early 30's who had jobs or were attending graduate school. There were also nice well-off retired couples. Now, there are a lot of skaters, punks and other people who drive around in low rider pickups and monster trucks.
