Fair over all for this part of Glendale and Phoenix area in general...

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I lived in San Prado for 1 year and agree with a couple of the comments both negative and positive.
I agree that the construction is not everything you would expect of a "luxury" apartment.
There were little details that seemed to have been overlooked or poorly crafted.
This is a nice area of Glendale but also an expensive area to live in.
You are only miles from golf courses or trailer parks depending on the direction you arrive from.
At first, there were no problems with crime but Summer 2008 was an exception.
Hopefully they hire a full time guard because strange activities were becoming more and more frequent as some of the original tennants from the first years after construction moved out.
It is an apartment people.
What are you really complaining about? There is going to be good and bad and you have to accept it for what it is.
You can expect to find grand parents, business people, students and crack heads coexisting peacefully enough.
If you want to live in Arrowhead and enjoy the "ammenities" in the area, be close to restaurants, shopping, hiking, golfing, schools, etc this place is beautiful and is one of the nicest places in the area for the price.
Inconsistent Maintenance and Management, Bad Parking, Noise are all par for the course with many Apartments...
Luxury or otherwise...
Rent a house in the area if you want to be smarter.
As the economy fails, more of them become available while people try to do anything they can to keep their 2nd homes or investment properties from going back to the banks.
Take advantage, save a month's rent for a deposit and move into a 3 bedroom house in the area! Better yet, shack up with some room mates for a couple of years in one of the 4 or 5 bedroom houses in Arrowhead for rent and save your 10-20% down on a house or condo you can actually afford...
Or, you can be like a lot of San Prado and other "Luxury Mark Taylor" residents and drive a Hummer (that won't fit in your parking spot), BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, Vette, Porshe, etc and live in Broke Style with your Stunner Shades On.
For those who need to be in a convenient relatively quiet area near school or for a year or two, this place is not going to break the bank or make you commit suicide.
The pool is nice, the parties are thoughtfully arranged, the move-in specials are fair enough if you don't have any or very little money for a deposit and you're not making someone else too terribly rich off your buck.
