I was totally impressed with the reviews written on 8/22/07 that I had to write my own! It probably won't be as epic though!
Lived here for a year. Moved here from the east coast. I asked SPECIFIC questions regarding onsite security due to my employment and was assured not to worry. Yeah. . . I have to say there isn't any.
When I pulled my truck and trailer attachment in from a 3000 mile drive I was given static for blocking potential parking.
The ---- blonde bimbo (no longer there) that reviewed my lease agreement with me neglected to walk me through the complex, show me where the laundry facilities are, show me my parking space, show me where the mailboxes are . . . take me to my apartment!
I remember walking into my apartment for the first time finding a one foot wide, four foot long obviously under patched wall in the living room. The carpet didn't go from wall to wall - there was at least a 1" gap between it and the sliding glass door. Oh yeah, the sliding glass door did not close all way - another 1" gap. The office said that it has to be slammed if I wanted it shut. haha! We won't even talk about the obvious paint droppings on the carpet.
Spring Meadows has a resident bulletin that comes out every month. As most do, it tells you what days they're open/closed, complex events, when your rents due, etc. Fat lotta good that does when they put it out the second week of the month, wondering why they're not open on presidents day. BTW who gets presidents day off'
Here's a bulletin: Riddle me this. . . Why was the pool closed for a month''' Hows 'bout putting that in there rather than a fricken recipe! IT WAS JUNE!!!!!
I filled out my apartment review form, turned it in and got my laundry key. Lucky Me! My dirty clothes were cleaner! I just ironed them and explained the situation to my friends and co-workers.
I wasn't graced with roaches, unless you count the neighbors. I almost called the cops on some 10 cent hooker running through the complex for an hour. Turns out she was looking for her cat, er dog, er trick - i don't know for sure but it seems she lived there.
The neighbor next to me stayed there for about a month before she started subletting her apt. She got it right on the third couple. He came home from the bar at one. She came home about 20 minutes later pounding on the door to get in. She ended up braking the kitchen window in getting glass and blood all over the place. I went to the office everyday about the blood and had to call the city to come out before the office lied about cleaning it up and painted over the blood. There are still blood stains they missed! I still have the pictures and the incident report.
My other neighbor, I've branded (them) Trailor Park, had at least 3-5 people in a one bedroom. They were vocal everyday! Common courtesy prohibited them from saying hello in passing, although I suspect dude had reason - caught between gangster and jail. Their door was almost always open unless they were nesting. Even then it would literally slam shut on every passing. Oh yeah, in case you were wondering. . . no, there are no screen doors included.
Maybe it's an east coast thing, but we don't throw birthday parties at the pool, ah, when it's open or closed.
Never had my vehicle vandalized or stolen there, however, I've seen the end result when the police arrived.
The whole tv/internet thing. . . right on! I called them three times to give them my auto-payment info, then said to hell with them. Eight months later they sent me a late bill. Trying to reach them is close to impossible, if you have the patience. After complaining about the last three times I called in, I also complained that I have never got all the channels in my line-up. They took the money and forgot about cable trouble. As for the service, be it tv or internet, expect it to be down and you won't be disappointed - I had both.
If spring meadow reads these comments, here's a clue; just because people aren't complaining to you [anymore] doesn't mean there isn't a problem! BE NICE AND HELP PEOPLE HUH!
