Of course you are going to hear the usual sounds of a big complex. Yes you will hear, children, dogs, music, cars, etc. I found Stillwater online (moving from another state) and thought it looked nice. I had the same impression when I saw it in person. I didn't inspect my actual unit very much so it's not the nicest but it serves its purpose for the fair rent I pay. The staff that was here when I first signed my lease, well one girl in particular was kind of an idiot but that happens. Since then, it's been pretty consistent and the ladies are helpful, courteous, etc. I'm not involved in 'complex gossip' or anything so I don't know what that scene is like or if there is a pool clique. The maintenance guys have all been here since I've arrived and they've always been prompt in repairs. I've trusted them to come into my place when I'm not at home and haven't had a problem. There is plenty of parking. The lot is a bit of a mess with potholes. Parking isn't assigned which can be good or bad. I haven't seen bugs crawling around. The laundry facility is decent, except there isn't a change machine which can be a hassle when you're running around looking for quarters. It's even air conditioned! There's a broad mix of renters here -young couples, young parents, single parents, young singles, middle aged singles, etc. My area has been rather quiet and the people walking their dogs are friendly. People are courteous with picking up after their dogs. My only hang up with the place are the pigeons. They've made a mess at the back of the community, so I'd reccomend choosing something closer to the front.
