I lived here for one and a half years and have mostly positive things to say. I might have even stayed here longer had it not been for noise issues with neighbors.
The whole time I was there, the property had the same manager Sandra who is awesome. The other office staff were always very helpful and professional too. Maintenance was great. My water heater was leaking one night and maintenance came over at 3am to fix it. They didn't have what they needed to fix it right then and there so they came back (on a Saturday!) and took care of it. My dishwasher was broken when I moved in which I didn't really care about because I lived alone and didn't cook much. I did request for them to fix it though. At the time, I hadn't given them permission to enter my apartment because I worked nights and slept during the day and didn't want to be woken up. They actually called me several times and left messages asking me when it was a good time for them to come over and fix it. I was impressed with that! At other places, you will have to nag them to get anything done. Not here!
I was also impressed by how clean my apt. was when I moved in. It was immaculate, including the carpet.
The property is beautiful and green. The mature trees provide a lot of shade. Sometimes they would over-water the grass which would attract insects. I had a problem with these little flies for a couple of months. I kept my apt. very clean but for some reason they would still come in from outside. It was quite gross. They would get into your food. Pest control would spray but this did nothing of course. I believe the problem was from the standing water in certain areas unless one of my neighbors had a corpse in their apartment! On to the subject of neighbors...the walls are as thin as cardboard so you can hear everything. And I mean EVERYTHING! Sometimes I could hear my next-door neighbor pissing. I could hear phone conversations. This stuff didn't bother me. It was when my one a**hole neighbor would blast his stereo and the bass would travel through the paper walls and wake me up every time without fail. These apartments are very small so there's really no getting away from the noise and ear plugs don't help much especially when it comes to the bass. The office staff warned him a couple of times but the problem continued. I even called the police on him once. I could have tried harder to solve the problem either by smashing in his head with a baseball bat or by getting them to evict him but I was at the end of my lease by the time he moved in and I was planning on moving out anyway. My neighbor upstairs was quiet as a mouse other than his footsteps which I never minded. You have to expect certain types of noise when you live in an apartment but blaring music should not have to be tolerated. It never ceases to amaze me how inconsiderate and stupid some people are! Anyway, other good things about the place were the wooden shutters with locks and the keyless deadbolt. It was very safe here as far as I could tell but it's always nice to have as many locks as possible! I never had a problem finding a close parking spot and no one ever messed with my car. You don't have a washer/dryer in your unit but the laundry room was big and it was kept clean.
These apartments are very inexpensive too. The layout of the bathroom in the one-bedroom kind of sucked because it was split. The tub and toilet were on one side and the sink was on the other. The room with the tub & toilet was so small and cramped it felt like a motel bathroom.
Overall, I thought this place was nice and would recommend living there.
