If you can hack it, look elsewhere.

I moved into this place as I was on a budget going to school and working, living off of a very small sum. I got a place here quickly so that I could be close to school. Kim was really nice at first but she's really fake and I could never get her to do anything. I dont think its all her fault though, she always seemed under a lot of stress. I dont think its an easy place to manage.
The biggest problem I had with this place was maintenance. Maintenance here was horrible. My bathub was leaking into my bed area and it took them about a month to completely fix it. After that, there was water leaking all over the place and it was dripping all over the tile floors. The sound was so terrible, that I could not sleep. After that, I found termites in my kitchen, but they said they were not termites because they couldn't see any bugs. Well they had left a pink film on the tile (which termites do) and the walls in the kitchen crumbeled to the touch. Looks like termites to me. They never fixed it, and the water look took about a week to fix.
The noise levels didnt bother me, because honestly I dont expect to live in complete quiet when I'm in an apartment complex. I feel people who want that are just whining for no reason. However the walls are thin. My neighbors were pretty cool though because I sang very loudly a lot and they never complained. When my nextdoor neighbor had sex I could hear it LOUD and clear . . . but like I said. No biggy. Thin walls are a problem at even "luxury" apartments.
My car got broken into at this place 3 times. Thats the big one right there. Security is terrible there and thieves LOVE that place. If you move there, your car WILL be broken into. The area is not safe anymore and there are a lot of hoodlums around. There were a couple of murders while I lived there.
If you are in desperate need of a place with low cash, you can make it work (i did for two years). But get your degree and find yourself a better place.
Good luck.
PS I dont remember my rent amount (it was cheap) or the years i stayed there . . . i think 2000-2002, but i cant be sure.
