We moved from small town, Kansas (pop. 30) to Phoenix in two weeks. When we contacted Summer's Point we were amazed at their helpfulness: Ruby was great and very informative. We didn't have to deal with Kim until after we were down here. My husband moved down here before I did and interacted wonderfully with Samuel, Kim, and Ruby. Samuel and Ruby even went out of their way to help him fix his battery cables on the car. When I moved down here I couldn't get the service he got. The office is never open on time, closes early, and is only helpful whe Ruby is there. Our first summer in Phoenix, and our air conditioner broke down 3 times. They continue to tell us it's our fault for not changing the filter enough. Since when is every 3 months not enough' I finally had to call their corporate office in California to get our air conditioner fixed. My cat had a heat stroke, my husband showed the beginning signs of dehydration (can't keep hydrated in 115 degree heat no matter how much you drink!), and we were treated as a "problem resident" for our troubles. (Corporate wasn't all that helpul after jumping their butts into gear) When we moved in we were garaunteed the pool was open 24/7. It's never open & even if it is you don't want to swim in it -- the health department keeps closing it down. They clean it about once a month. Anyone who knows anything about outdoor pools knows they have to be cleaned and have their Ph & chlorine adjusted DAILY. Our door lock has been broken for 3 weeks. I don't know that we'll ever get it fixed. Same wih our kitchen light, except it hasn't worked since we moved in! It's obvious that they are trying to make changes, but it's also obvious they're trying to do it as cheaply as possible. Hence, the changes are not working. They've hired a second maintenance man who doubles in the office during Ruby and Kim's 3-4 hour lunches and other disappearances. (BTW, lunch i from 11-2 at least! if you need to reach office it's more likely able to get them from 10-10:30 & 2:30-5.) Unfortunately this maint. man is extemely worhtless. All he does is follow Samuel around like a lost puppy, rub his enormous and dirty beer belly, and sit in the office responding to every question "I don't know. I'm just here til they get back." This place is simply awful, but it is a roof over your head. We have a second floor studio apartment and pay $420/mo. We are looking for another apartment but are in a financial bind -- I'm full time student and disabled, so my husband is the sole supporter and we spend a lot of money going back to Kansas for visits and legalities. We eloped when we moed down here so we're also tryingt ae or a reception. It's really important that you realize when you move in here that this is solely a roof over your head and nothing else.

Yes the office staff is awful once you have signed a contract
I owe them $2500 because I had cars stolen twice within 3 month span and due to their lack of security! I broke my lease because we had to move back with my husband's parents since we had NO vehicle to get to work in
