The following is a review I wrote before my final opinion of this dump, when I still had hope for the place. As an update, this place is a nightmare. Cops, drug deals, unattended kids running around at all hours, paper-thin walls and flooring, maintenance virtually non-existent (and that's doing the tenant a favor-- I don't know where they go to find these people that they probably hire for under minimum wage, and it's a different hire every week or so). There is no assigned parking, and you have to pay for a covered spot. The grounds are mostly bare dirt where grass or desert landscaping once was. The office staff drives around on golf carts flying like a bat out of Hades, flicking trash (soda cups, food wrappers, and cigarette butts) as they go. Electric bills in the summer were over $400 a month, then they painted the place a dark, baby poo color (how fitting!), like we weren't paying enough already, they had to make the place absorb even more heat. Windows are single-pane, and leak when it rains. Which also tells me they aren't blocking much of the outside temperature. Lighting around the property will stay out unless you the tenant take a lightbulb out and replace them yourselves. Even if you hand the office a list of the exact location of the 30 or so bulbs out at a time... it gets ignored. If kids vandalize the property, it never gets fixed (light poles, canopies, tables, etc). They had a website where the tenant could request maintenance assistance, but they never checked it. I mean, never! When you call or stop by to inquire about the request a week later, they take the information down like it's the first time they've heard of it. The thing that will lure you to this place are the floor plans, and the gas fireplace. Don't be like a moth to the flame, you will seriously regret your experience renting from this place.

This is my old review: The outside stairwells on the 2nd floor and the ceilings underneath them have all been torn up and in disrepair for WELL OVER A YEAR now. This was because of a structure problem that the stairwells and ceilings below leaked whenever it rained. The plaster was ripped out, and bare wood and plumbing is exposed on every ceiling outside the front doors of every downstairs apartment, with no sign of repair in sight.

One almost feels sorry for the office staff, as they have a very high turnover rate, and it often seems like one person is trying to do everything by themselves -- this goes for maintenance as well.

There doesn't seem to be much sense of community. They don't have any planned activities, except a couple of times they wanted residents to come in for a 'free' photograph (you could buy extras) -- what's that about -- so they can have a picture for your file' If so, why not be upfront about it' Oh yeah, once they invitied us to the office for pizza -- but we had to pay. They were 'doing us a favor' by having Pizza Hut bring some already baked pizzas that we could purchase if we wanted! I think there might have been some other activity regarding food, but it was advertised in the monthly bulletin, which is always late, and by the time we got it, the date had passed. I hate to say, "Well the old management..." But with them at least they had a luau-type pool party, and other themed parties (Cinco de Mayo, etc.
) and a weekly omelette breakfast (all free to residents), and a kids club that met weekly, game nights, movie nights, etc. AND they posted these events on a huge poster board by the mailboxes so people knew about them. They actively sought and welcomed your input for suggestions, etc. The current staff took out the popcorn machine, and moved the water cooler out of the main lobby. Little stuff like that, that added a touch of welcoming, I'm sure was removed to save a few bucks.

The old management office and maintenance staff wore uniforms, which looked very professional, and the maintenance workers wore I.D. badges which further helped to identify them. This was comforting when having someone enter your apartment with whom you may be unfamiliar.

On the flip-side, maybe they can't afford any activities, or repairs, or sufficient staff. The rent does seem comparable if not a little less than other complexes in the area.
