Save yourself a trip. Don't bother coming to see how "clean" and "welcoming" the staff and management are. Save your fuel and miles on your vehicle. Save your money and use it elsewhere. Save your self-dignity and don't let someone show their "business" face (nicey nice) to you, only to turn their back on you once you are locked into a lease which costs about $3000 to get out of early.
The reasons for saying this are simple. Please read if you want the lowdown, not just from me, but from all of the neighbors I've spoken with:
1. Management - I saved the best for first. The management will say whatever it takes to move you in. I moved in and lived in my apartment for a year. They were constantly leaving notices on my door and telling people they couldn't do this, can't do that. If you feel like being the next to be harassed by the people whose salaries YOY pay, then move here. Otherwise, don't deal with these blood suckers.
2. Cost/Apartment/Grounds - I paid too much for a one-bedroom. WAY too much, and I think it's just because it's a quiet area and the grounds and buildings LOOK nice. Don't be fooled. The apartment was poorly insulated, which means you pay a HUGE electric bill ($350 last August) during the summer to keep cool. I called numerous times for them to come fix the seals. The carpet feels like steel wool and never stops being sucked into your vacuum cleaner. It also attracts stains, and you will have to pay for cleaning when you leave because they nickel and dime you to death because nobody wants to renew their leases here. The toilet handle breaks (as you will read on other posts). You can hear your neighbors through your walls. The outdoors are well-maintained, but that's all I can say.
3. Inspections/Maintenance - Neighbors all tell me that they want to be left alone, but the management will continually have "fire extinguisher and smoke alarm" inspections. They, along with the maintenance guy are actually snooping. Otherwise, why couldn't they combine all of the different inspections, rather than intruding on your right to privacy' They look for any little problem or act of non-compliance, and once they find one, they always say, "One of your neighbors saw you doing this." Give me a break. Not only that, but I've had to call maintenance numerous times to come seal my doors, check my air filter, fix a leak, etc.
4. Lease - Any bit of non-compliance, to include changing a tire in the parking lot, or backing your car into your parking space, will be stricly and swiftly handled. God forbid you get a flat tire. They will tell you (as they have with several neighbors) to tow your car and fix it elsewhere. Then, once you are about to renew your lease, they will try to suck you in with a free carpet cleaning. What a joke. I would spend $30 and rent a cleaner from WalMart.
5. Security Guards - They are out of shape and tell you to be out of the pool at 10:00pm. That's really all they are good for. I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't think they could do anything besides harass you and look at their list that the management gives them to check on (people making minor infractions) and rat out. Again, the management will tell you that "A neighbor saw you doing this," when in actuality it is the security guard. I have witnessed them on more occasions than I care to count, just sitting in the car looking at the brick wall for whatever reason. Nice use of funds.
6. Neighbors - All of the people I've spoken with mention that they have had some sort of ridiculous run-in with the management. They tell me of the shooting that occurred in 2007 and, specifically, how afterwards you couldn't perform work on your car because you were treated like you were stealing your own car! (Read other reviews to confirm this). One neighbor of mine is so fed up with management always coming into their home that she will move out soon.
7. "Paradise" - Don't be fooled by the 5/5 star reviews on this website or any other. That is simply the management posting their own reviews so the overall recommendation percentage is above 50%. Lame. Please, I know you don't know me, but I am sitting here spending 30-minutes writing this to SAVE YOU MONEY AND HASSLE. Sure, no place is perfect, but all of the apartment complexes I've ever lived in prior to this (MANY) have been more welcoming and understanding of individual situations and needs. Not everyone can be off the premsises all the time and just pay rent, which I'm sure this management would prefer. DO NOT EVEN COME GET SUCKED IN BY THESE PEOPLE. GO ELSEWHERE. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. No, you've been saved.
*Look at my star ratings in each category. I don't rate it a "1 star" in every category. I am fair, which I hope lends credibility to this posting.

This completely jives with my experience. The real problem with this facility is that the manager "Deborah" is a former Army sergeant who thinks she is STILL IN THE ARMY. Spiffy and clean the place is, yes. But at what cost to your privacy? They are poorly built and not well insulated, also there are no trees on the grounds to help shade your apartment so summer bills are THROUGH THE ROOF. I backed my car into my parking spot once so I could take my groceries out easier. I had a $50 fine notice the next day. If you want to live under GESTAPO rule, then this is a GREAT place.
