I thought my apartment came with a roof''!!

The last reviewer is correct. The management company at this complex is not only crap...but, inefficient and lazy crap. Greystone Management has been aware that my roof has been leaking (at first...onto my bed...until I shoved the bed into the corner) for 8 months. This has been an issue since Jan 1, 2004...which happens to coincide with the day I moved in. Wonderful. The water damage to the ceiling has now moved from my bedroom out into the living room. The outline of every piece of drywall shows through the "solid" roof. Short of holding back rent, I don't know what to do other than write to the owner of the complex and inform them that a reasonably small issue 8 months ago, has now undermined the structure of the roof and walls. This is how the management company that they have entrusted is dealing with their very expensive investment. I don't know if notifying Greystar's corporate office will do any good, but I will try that as well. I'm sure there are guildlines that involve having the building statutes and codes somewhere in the management office of this complex, just in case they decide to read them for the first time. Wish me luck.
By the way...having assigned parking within a 15 minute walk to my apartment would be a drastic improvement...not only for safety but convenience, as well. Just a thought...put the apartment and the assigned parking in the same area. Everyone gets one spot...do the math.
