The conditions of the apartments are bad, the maintenance is horrible, and the management is the worst kind of flakey.

We were set to move in to our apartment on a certain day. We made all arangements for that day. At about noon of the day of move in, as we were in route to the apartment complex, they call me and tell me it's not ready. They had to replace the carpeting. So I eat the Uhaul charge for the day until the carpeting's ready. I lucked out and the Uhaul place was open late. I wasn't able to start moving in until after 5pm. Of course, I still payed the entire day's rent as part of my pro-rate when I moved in.

The apartment is trashed. Counters are scratched and disgusting, the drawers are all filthy, and there's a huge ant and bug problem that took them 2 months and 3 times spraying to fix. The only plus was the carpeting was new (come to find out later the previous owners had dogs). The list of things to fix was literally 2 pages. And we're not picky people, this is stuff like no towel rack, moldings that were removed and never replaced, and broken cabinets and toilets. We're also pretty sure the maintenance guy stole a few things from our apartment when he went to fix stuff when we weren't there, although we can't prove that. They never have fixed all of it.

The parking situation is ok at best. We were told when we moved in that there were no covered parking spots available. Come to find out later that there were 3 or 4 right next to our apartment that they never bothered checking on. The spaces are fairly close together, so be prepared for some door dings. There are no assigned spots.

The walls and ceilings are not well insulated. Be prepared to listen to your neighbors every move, and especially the people above you moving around if you're unfortunate enough to end up on the 1st floor. Also be prepared to hear a ridiculously loud noise everytime the people above you flush their toliets.

They told us when we moved in that they were renovating the complex, and were adding a playground and other ammenities. Months later, that "playground" is a huge dirt hole next to the pool, that creates a lake when it rains and breeds ungodly amounts of mosquitos. It has never been touched. The fitness center that was also supposedly being redone has all outdated and barely functioning equipment, that you can't use past 5pm when the office closes.

There's a large pigeon issue here as well, which in itself isn't bad, but the bird feces and feathers all over the walkway into the apartment isn't very sanitary, especially if you have children. This is caused by birds nesting in the open overhangs.

This "gated" community leaves the gates open all day, and the alternative exit gate breaks often, and looks like it's been run over. The code to open the gates could be figured out by most 6 year olds. It's not a secure place.

All in all, our apartment has been a disaster from day 1. It was never right when we moved in, and the management has never really tried to make it right. Unless there are major changes here, I'd strongly suggest you stay away and look at alternatives locally.
