Today is June 21, 2008 and 117 degrees. The tenant in Apartment 238 first reported his air conditioning out on May 30, 2008. Since then he has reported to the local management no less than eight times that maintenance has not even been by his apartment to fix the air. Yesterday I called on his behalf at 3:20 in the afternoon. Although the recording said the office was open until 5:00 p.m. NO ONE bothered to call me back. NO ONE went to Apartment 238 to see if they could help. Today the temperature reached 117 degrees. Paul went to the office at about 2:00 today and was PROMISED maintenance would repair his air conditioner between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. At 4:20 NO ONE had been by his apartment and the air conditioning was STILL OUT. He went back to the office. IT WAS CLOSED at 3:00 p.m. but NO ONE told him at 2:00 it would be closed. I am going to write to the newspaper, radio and television stations about this atrocity. It is illegal, immoral and dangerous to permit any human being to live in an apartment for two weeks in the height of the DANGEROUS HEAT WARNING without air conditioning. NO ONE appears to be in charge at this complex.
