You can tell from looking at this place from the street that it is not a high class apartment complex, but the allure of the cheap rent and the spacious apartments can be too good to pass up. I pay only $575/mo for a 2-story, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhome which is definitely what got me sucked in. It is a small complex so I figured it would be pretty quiet compared to what I am used to. I never thought I would end up living in Mesa but my husband and I wanted to save up money to buy a house so we signed a year lease here.

It is 7 months later and we are miserable! I was stupid enough to rent this apartment without ever having seen it. I was familiar with the nieghborhood and they have a great website with some decent photos so I was able to get an idea of what I was getting into. The day I signed my lease and got my keys was the first day I saw the apartment. The place looked as though a 5 year old had prepped it for the new tenants. The carpet was new but was installed horribly. It looked like someone had used a butter knife to cut it. The baseboards and walls were filthy. I even found a booger on a wall! (barf) But the most disgusting thing of all was dead flies and moths in all of the ceiling light fixtures. I am not talking one or two dead bugs... I am talking about dozens. You would think that when the apartment was supposed to be being cleaned that the maintenance person or whoever would have noticed them.

As for the nieghborhood... it is rather quiet which is surprising for Mesa. All of the people who live there are white trash or dirty --------. I don't feel safe walking around outside at night. My husband was approached by a sweaty hooker who begged him to let her inside our apt. to "talk". The neighbors in the complex behind us let their dogs out to bark at all hours of the night and morning. Nobody cleans up after their dogs and there is dog ---- all over the grounds. Oh and parking is a joke. Don't ever invite anyone over. I can't wait to get out of this place.

Go ahead and move here if you have no living standards and can't afford anything better. I can't wait to get out of this crap hole. I will never live in this area of Mesa ever again. NEVER!
