I woke up one morning to my van missing from its parking space.

I ran to the office to ask them if they had towed any cars off & they told me no.

So I called the cops.

They did to off my van, but didn't know it.

Their tow company did it.

What had happened was my tags expired at midnight.

Yes I know I should have put the new ones on but as a mother of 5 working full time I just wanted to sleep as soon as I got home from work at midnight.

Then the company who tow our van gave us crap about it.

they refused to tell us where our van really was.

I missed a days work trying to find my van.

Then the company had the nerve to try & charge us $160 to get it back when the apartment said they did not ask them to tow any cars.

My dad works for a tow company so I knew that I didnt have to pay to get my van back.

Then when I did get my van back you could tell that their tow truck driver tried to hot wire it.

I asked the staff here again if they had any cars towed & they keep saying NO!
Other notes is my door leaks air around the sides.

I put in a work order in a week ago today.

My door is still leaking air.

My 2nd bathroom potty is overflowing but I got the water turned off so they will be over here as the staff person over the phone said "I don't know when they will get there maybe sometime today or tomorrow." Which means hopefully by next month.

I keep saying the staff because I do not want to cause hard feelings with those who are friends with the staff.

I love the ladies in the office except for 1 & I have not seen her in over a month.

The pools here are ok if you want to swim in poop or where kids who play in the trash cans take baths in.

My oldest daughter is on the YMCA's swim team so she needs to partice all she can.

But I don't want her in the pools they are so gross.

The crime here is really bad every 2-3 weeks there is a but load of cop cars.

The last time the news was here also...

Someone broke into someones apt.

& stabbed the person who lived there.

Where that happened was by the back pool another reason to let my kids go swiming.

I have only lived here for 3 months & when my lease is up we are moving to a safer area where I can let my kids go outside the front door without freaking out that someone is going to try to harm them.

Lived here?

I am beginning to agree with everything you said. About a year ago, I posted another comment, more positive, but lately I'm getting discouraged living here! The night of the stabbing, my mom was here visiting from Missouri. My cousins (who just moved from Pennsylvania) and my aunt were also here for dinner. How embarrassing..."Yeah, guys, I live in the ghetto." Seriously though, what's with the cops here ALL the time? It should make me feel safe, having them here a lot, but there's a reason they are coming here. As for the ladies in the office, I went in the other day and almost the entire staff has changed. I liked the other ladies; we were always cordial with each other. But these new ones were a little rude to me the other day. I have lived here 3 years and always paid rent on time. I keep a nice place and help pick up trash I see on the ground. There's no need for them to be rude to me... I will also be looking for another place to live when my lease is up this time. Unfortunately, it won't be until NEXT May! On a positive note, the landscaping in front looks great. I was disappointed when they took out all the grass, because I moved here so my dog could have grass. But it does look nice out there now. Well, I hope things get better for you (and me)...

I too have the same problem with staff in the front office being rude to me and I have been an excellent tenant. It is very discouraging. I will be moving when My lease is up in November, I have been here since 2002, and I didn't know about the stabbing, WOW, sorry your family had to deal with that. I actually printed off all of the complaints from this site and faxed them to the corporate office because I felt this random rude treatment was ridiculous. I understand you have a job to do there, but you are in a business where people should be the priority and you can't treat people the same when they don't behave the same. I like the new landscaping, but those piles of rocks get on my nerves, they limit parking and driving into and out of the complex and you know how folks like to tear through here. I put in a work request for my sink which had leaked onto my carpet over a period of I don't know how long only to get a response that I didn't have a leak, could it be because I turned off the water to stop it (and I relayed this information on the written request AND when they called me to verify if they had permission to enter that was a RESOUNDING NO!!!). Still didn't get fixed and I advised hey, I turned off the water so it wouldn't keep leaking while you take the time "needed" to get to it. :)So I had to start all over with the request. I have a lil'one now and I didn't before so I have the same concerns. I have been in the pool twice the whole time I've lived here and had no idea it was so nasty, I wanted to take my baby this weekend, I guess we'll go to my brothers in East Mesa. I see all kinds of seedy characters, and I know if I notice them and I mind my own business and always have, other folks have got to notice the things I do. We've had drugs, etc and its like no one cares about the concerns of the tenants or the fact that without tenants you have no business. I am just hanging in till I can get out hopefully by the end of this year.

Hey, sometimes people have to look at the big picture. Sure the van thing was a terrible experience. As far as the pools, I've lived here a while and yah, they had a problem a while ago because from what I found out their company they got there chlorine from started sending them chlorine that was not as good as what the used to use. The immediatly switch to better chlorine and the pool are nice and clear always. And in the front pool, it's not always pigion poop you are seeing, it concreate from all of the people peeling off the pool tiles that they keep replacing. If people respected where they live more they would not have this problem. Another thing people should consider when they live in a place with over 400 units is that work orders are done in order of priority. A/C problems and leaks take priority and a door that don't seal well takes time to get to. This place will even change your air filters and light bulbs if you ask...not many places do that. Remember you are not the only resident on a property and they can only do so much in a day. I write all this because I've worked at properties before and people that live there don't understand everything it takes to keep a place clean and kept up. Consider how much time and effort it takes you to keep your own place clean and ok. now multiply that by over 400 and consider how much everyone that works for an apartment complex has to do that much work.

to the woman who had her car towed: i just had my car towed from my apt complex parking lot at "HAVEN" apts on broadway. You said that you knew that you didn't have to pay to get it back...can you tell me how and why? they put a notice on my car because i had a flat tire, i immediately fixed the tire and the next night they towed it anyway! thanks
