This is a cheap apartment, it's ghetto, old, dirty, and scary people live there, but I knew this before I moved in. My problem was with the staff. A very dirty neighbor attracted roaches that leaked into my apartment. I told the management and they kept making excuses as to why they couldn't spray. This went on for 4 months! At any given moment you could count up to 100 roaches. I couldn't leave any food or drinks around or they would crawl inside them. They crawled inside all of my furniture and electrical appliances, and crawled on me when I slept.
I eventually videotaped the inside of my apartment and sent it to the state health department to show them that the lving conditions were unbearable. Management got fined heavily and I got evicted because of that,I had to throw almost everything I owned away, and had to pay a $60 fine. Then the real kicker is, after I payed the fine I got a letter from collections saying I still owed it. So I had to pay it again!
This of course won't happen to everyone that lives here, but I just want to let you know how neglectful the staff is. And for how cheap the apartment was, I ended up spending a lot more by having to throw out all my stuff. Plus I ended bringing roaches to my new place and had to pay to get it sprayed!
