Garden Grove Apartments are located just off of 92nd place on Ellsworth road in Mesa, AZ. Before I moved from California to Arizona, I asked my mother to find me an apartment to live in. She suggested Garden Grove Apartments. I asked her to mail me a picture so I could see what they looked like. She never did, and now I know why. Garden Grove Apartments look like something out of a Steven King movie. Seriously, they should be condemned. They either have 1 or 2 bedrooms, and I chose a 2 bedroom because they were bigger, and also because I could afford paying the $450. (Just so you know, they have no rent control over there anymore, and I here the rent goes up every 6 months.) When I lived there the manager was this ugly ass, heniously obese, boozehound Indian ----- named Mary, (or Scary-Mary, as I called her.) This women hated whites, and was also always trying to illegally scam the Mexican residents, ( for example: she would allow 7 dead-beat -------- to cram into a one bedroom apartment like sardines, and then charge each person a cash rent fee to make her be quiet about it.) Later she stole the tenants rent money and fled to some Indian reservation. I lived there for 7 months, and those 7 months were sheer hell. Keep in mind that I moved from the bay area in CA, so living in a shinny shack like Garden Grime was quite a culture shock for me. I had no idea who the hell the owner was or where he lived or how to contact him either, he was just a freakin slum lord. All of the residents do speed. There are two kinds of residents there: tweaker --------, or tweaker white trash. I swear to God, the residents there are some of the grossest, weirdest people imaginable. Infact, one of the residents was arrested for stabbing his 91-year-old father NINE TIMES, but he was later released and he's now back at the ------- apartments. The inside of the apartments are really ugly and old. My cat used to play with the cockaroaches like they were toys or something. After getting tired of looking at them, I would suck them up with the vacuum hose. When I would go into the kitchen and turn on the light, I would see all of these bugs scurry and hide, it was nasty! When I would go to check my mail, I would be stared at by all the --------; they all had staring problems. They have this....well, I guess it?s a laundry room if you can call it that. The floor of it has so much caked on grime. And they charge WAAAAAAY too much to do laundry (2.00 to wash or dry') Plus, not long after I moved out, the lighting in the laundry room went out, so you were forced to do your laundry before the sun went down, or else who knows what might happen to you in there....you might get shot at/mugged/raped. I mean, how hard is it to change a damn light bulb' Oh, and by the way, they finally took out all the machines because someone punched a hole in the wall and stole the money out of the washers and dryers so now the tenants have no means of washing their clothing. The pool was also taken out. But I suppose it won't be missed anyway, it looked like a ------- swamp. All I can tell you is to stay far, far away from Garden Grime! g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
