When I first moved in here it was a nice place. Now they let any TOM, ---- OR HARRY live here. My neighbor does pot and meth and smokes to many cigarettes. Office trys to tell me that His meth use wont affect me your just trying to get out of responsibility for allowing just anyone that can pay can move in. You know who I am by now. You all use to be nice but now ha!!! Maintence is about the only thing good around here. You all need to go to school to learn about the affects of meth....If theres second hand smoke from cigarettes dont you think theirs second hand smoke from meth and pot. And pick up your poop and dove poop!!!! On top of it all you all lied to us about what we were getting for our money. We found the same kind of apartments for $275.00 cheaper!!!! How would you like to step out of your apartment and see someone shooting drugs into their arm'

Dear Valued Resident: Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We are sorry there has been some miscommunication regarding your neighbor. Please know we take all resident's concerns very serious and if you are witnessing any drug related activity, it is important you notify the office and the Mesa Police so together we may take the proper actions to remedy the situation. We want you to be happy and it sounds like there are some issues that need to be addressed. In response to who rents at Genoa Lakes, we have rental criteria and every resident must qualify before living here. This includes a credit and criminal background check. Please always inform the Leasing Office of any suspecious activity so that we may address the situation. Our goal is to make Genoa Lakes Apartments enjoyable for everyone. In addition to contacting the Leasing Office, you may contact the Mesa Police Department at their non-emergency number at 480-622-4411. They are also able to help you with any concerns. We noticed that you feel our apartment homes are over priced. We understand that the real estate and job market is going through a lot of sudden changes that may put some items outside budget. We are confident that we have priced our apartment homes appropriately with all that we have to offer. Our community boasts 3 resort-style swimming pools, a nicely equiped gym facility, professional maintenance, and a warm and inviting staff. And for those reasons, we feel we are asking the right amount of money for the rent. Again, thank you for your comments. We hope that we were able to cover all of your concerns. Please remember that you are welcome to talk to the Community Manager in the Leasing Office if you have any further concerns. Sincerely, Genoa Lakes Apartments Management

To your comment, the problem is we have called the police several times spoke to you several times. The police are the only ones that do anything not you. Nor does your security! He sits on his butt at the pool all night! So please stop trying to make yourselfs look good. Anyone who lives here knows the truth. Its your job to say that. I have a job to and thats why Im letting everyone know my concerns. You should feel lucky that you just work here and dont have to live here! There are some "issues" and Ive already discussed them with you and you dont want to addresses them!!! When it comes to the job market or real estate Im not worried about money I just had to let everyone know that there is several apartment complexes that are just like these but $275.00 cheaper. So please dont thank me. Everyone is intitled to their opinion and thats mine!!!!! Instead of commenting why dont you or your staff go pick up some dog, duck, cat or dove pooh!!!!!!!

We are about to move in to genoa lakes next month.. we are coming from del coronado.. you wanna check out those reviews and tell me what the better option is!! haha! Theirs only so much management can do about alleged drug use.. you have to primarily work with the police on that.. I had a friend that lived there when it was la valencia and she didnt mind it.. and to anyone reading this.. the number for mesa pd is 480.644.2211.. it was listed incorrectly by the management rebuttle.

I was thinking about moving into this complex until I read these comments. Being from out of the area, illegal activity is of great concern where I am going to move my family. With such urgent concerns with a neighbor, you would think the management would take this matter seriously. I am disappointed...now my search continues!

If a neighbor is busted for ANY criminal activity, there should be a clause in the "Crime Free" lease agreement that allows the Management to evict that person in 10 days, sometimes as little as 72 hours! If the management hasn't done this, then they are more concerned about rent checks than they are about the safety of there renters.
