We moved at Lakeview in December of 06 and stayed there till december of 07. Turns out we had to give a 60 day notice!!! not 30, sixty...so they made us pay 7 days extra...
During the time we were there, we had a lot of crickets inside the apt. They would get inside the cracks in the wall and even roaches, maintenance people never available, dog poop on lawn. on the day we were moving out i found a black widow on the porch.
We took the trash out from the apt and left it just ready for the cleaners, turns out that since we did not turn it the walk in sheet. They made us pay about $840.00 extra besides credits and security deposit. In the invoice they charged us $1000 for replacing carpet on a 900 sq/ft apt!!!, $250.00 on a "broken" kithen counter (that we did not brake) and a whole bunch of BS more. They used all that as an excuse to overcharge us, and take our deposit, THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!!

I called them up and tried reasoning with them about the charges but the only thing they could do for us was to "split" the payments in 2.
since we did not do it, soon afterwards we had this really nasty collections ladies harassing me and telling me that they had pulled out my credit report and new everything about us. $840.00 ended up costing us $1130.00 with collections fee included.
We never caused any troubles to them and the place we did not trash, and always kept as clean as possible.
Our mistake was not turning the stupid sheet in, so people learn from our mistake and DO NOT RENT at this apts, and always turn in the walk in sheet.I've been reading the other comments and they are so true everyone of them, the crickets, the roaches, teh billing issues, overpriced apts, the management constantly changing...
Those were not the best apts ever, it left us with a sour taste in our mouths.

The next apts we lived in no matter how busy i was i turned everything right away, took video AND pictures, also always "bug" the office people when something happens

I'm talking to an attorney about a class action against this property management. As soon as my lease is up on the 1st I will assess my damages and if they try to pull anything I'll just add it to the suit. I ALWAYS take video and pictures and I include a dated newspaper with the photos when I move out of a place. So I'd love to see them try something and take this to the criminal courts as well!
