We hate it here. We had a roof leak that it took them 6 months to fix. They came and patched the inside about two weeks after we first reported the problem so it looked like they fixed it, but once it rained again we had 2 buckets in the exact same spot. After the roof started leaking again the manager came and took pictures, but it still took them a month to come and work on the roof and they still haven't fixed the damage done on the inside. I understand it doesn't rain much here, but that seems to be a pretty basic service. Put a roof over our heads, it's what we're paying for. There's a family that lives below us, whose kids constantly blast rap music, and the parents simply ignore it by blasting thier mariachi music to drown it out. The guy in the apartment next to us fashions himself a rap star and has his own record label. Not my thing, but I was a musician so I certainly admire his dedication. However this place isn't exactly soundproof, and he records in his living room. So my appartment constantly shakes from the bombardment of loud bass, and I'm poping Excedrin like it's candy. When you call the office you cross your fingers that you get the manager, because the other girl that works there is totally useless and less than plesant. As a matter of fact, if you live here and have a complaint, don't even bother talking to anyone other than the manager. We called to ask what they could do about the noise since there is a noise clause in the lease, and the other girl briskly told us to call the cops. The manager seems nice and seems to be trying, but it's clear she's not getting much help. I understand living in an apartment isn't perfect, but it's all my fiance and I can can afford right now since we're just starting out. But we can't wait to get out of here. We didn't sign up for dorm life.

I am sorry to see you guys go. It is terrible when you lose a good resident over bad ones. Unfortunately there are steps I have to take in order to take care of "problem" residents. The construction is driving me crazy too, I wish I could make it go away. As for the roof, I called my corporate office daily about this problem and I had no control over getting the roofers out to do repairs. If I had more authority, it would have been taken care of immediately.

Hence the problem CAM (heard it said that CAM stands for taking the Candy ANd Milk money from people and running> this from one of your own faithful employess) requires the LOWEST BID before they will do anything. I even heard that the apartment that caught on fire was not cleaned properly after the fire.. I heard that from someone who is in management.. So you are right in saying if you had more authority... It is a shame that the tenants pay the money to live in a "Luxury Apartment" and yet can not get the repairs done right...

All I can say is that The Montego has been under new management since July 2007 and everything is great in this place, office staff and management are very responsive and friendly also maintenance is on the ball completing requests, this place has certainly became a place to call home.
