This place is expensive for all the daily bull you have to deal with. It may look decent on the outside but it's still just another trashy Mesa apartment complex. Some reoccurring problems include neighbors who are not on the lease and steal. Don't think that since there is a gate your car will not get broken into, because on many occasions the gate is left open 24 hours on weekends, kind of coincidental if you ask me. Also plumbing is horrible, just about every 2 months sewage flushes upward in sink, bathtub and toilet, and although plumbers have come out on numerous occasions (not to mention that this will take up an entire day) you end up having to clean it in the long run, so if you like cleaning up other people's ---- by all means live here. Police are constantly here due to domestic violence all around which you can hear due to paper thin walls. The worst of all though, would have to be the incompetence in the office, which is masked by snobbish remarks that leave you feeling unwelcome. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Hello I am the assistant manager of this community and when I saw this posting it was quite alarming. I say this because the issues you are mentioning in your post have never been reported to the office. If this had been reported it would have been corrected immediately. I noticed you said the community looks decent on the outside and I appreciate that. We take pride in our community and make sure it looks nice for our residents. This is why we have 24 hour maintenance and the grounds are cleaned everyday even on Sundays. We have received numerous compliments on how well kept the community is. In regards to neighbors not being on the lease and steeling this is news to me. If you currently live here and are having this problem please report this to the office. I am unable to correct problems that I am not aware of. I can assure you that every person here is screened. I have never had a report of theft brought to my attention. I work closely with the local police and actually received a compliment the other day from them about how little they have come to our community in the last year. I urge people who are thinking of moving here to call the local police and ask them for yourselves so that you know the information you are getting is accurate and from the source. Also, I am not sure why you say that the gate is left open at our community. I have been here for about 2 years and the gate is closed at all times unless a car is currently driving through. I urge prospective resident to drive by and see for themselves before listening to an inaccurate post on the internet. In regards to a sewage backup, this has happened in only one apartment here and was due to residents poring oil down the drains. I do apologize this happened to your apartment. As far as cleaning up other people??????s sewage that is just inaccurate. The sewage backup in your apartment came from your apartment only. The Montego would have had a cleaning company do this for you however; sending an e-mail on a weekend is not the best way to get your issues handled quickly. We do have an emergency phone number that we provide to you so that you are able to get a hold of us ASAP. In regards to the office staff I have been nothing but pleasant to every resident in this community. I am truly sorry that you have such a bad impression about the staff and the community. I would appreciate if you came to the office and talked to me about this so I can resolve any issues you are having. It is strange to me that the same day I read this post I also received an e-mail from current resident saying that the maintenance is wonderful. Any issues are fixed within 24 hours. That the office follows up on every work order to make sure it is completed correctly. They ended the e-mail with ??????you have created some very loyal tenants??????. I have had people living here for over 18 years. We are occupied at 98%. I have a waiting list full of people who would love to be residents here. All I ask from you is that you post accurate information; notify us of any issues and in return I will correct them immediately.

The tenant above is correct on plumbing issues, seems like they are there every week. I live in apartments near by and i always see a rainforest plumbing truck there. Seems like they are simply "bandaiding issues" rather then actually fixing them.
