If your planning to live at The Moorings, then there are a few things you should know. First, I am a renter at The Moorings and due to a flood I had to leave my apartment for a few days while maintenence was cleaning the place up. Upon my arrival back, I noticed mold on the walls, bubbling up in the walls where moisture had seeped up in the drywall, and also they had left the place w/ a very musky scent. I let mangement know of these things things and after them promising me that they would get these things taken care of nobody ever showed up. So I called the county and the attorney generals office. I then wrote a letter to Management letting them know of my course of action. They are now going to let me live in another rental unit, but I am waiting to see if they pay for my moving expenses. Second not only was it the flood that they never properly cleaned up, there was also a leak in the water heater upstairs which resulted in damage to the storage unit outside on our patio, that was a month ago and they still have not come to repair the 3 foot whole of drywall that they tore out in it. I have complained about it on 3 seperate occasions, and has been no repair done.
Make sure you do a background check on apartments before becoming a renter, it sure will save you in the long run.
