Moorings

 

I have just read the reviews of this apartment complex and decided to post my story as well.

I moved in with my best friend in mid 2002.

We had problems from the begining.

First of all we were given the wrong style of unit and had to fight to be moved.

Upon getting moved in we noticed broken cabinets, ripped up flooring, huge cracks in the bottom of the walls (no floorboards) and the entire place was filthy.

As if this wasn't enough the police were always there and our upstairs neighbors were unbeleivably noisy all of the time! Within the first two weeks the water line in the master shower broke and took three weeks to get repaired.

Meanwhile there was a hole left open in the wall in my badroom.

I have two small dogs, imagine trying to keep them out of that! This forced me to have to let my dogs (that my roomate was nervous about already, she had never lived with a dog) run loose every day.

We were so stressed that we starting fighting almost immediately.

This was followed by a steady stream of broken items in the apartment and broken promises by the management.

My best friend ended up moving out and we haven't spoke since.

It was finally capped off when a water line in the ceiling broke and part of the ceiling gave out and the apartment was flooded.

As I sat on my ruined couch sobbing the maintenance man had the nerve to say "oh, don't worry about it, this happens all of the time"! After a couple of days I had mold growing in my air vent, in the walls, and under the carpet.

And the managment did NOTHING! I gave them the five days notice required by law, for them to fix it and when nothing was done (other than another huge hole cut in the ceiling) I moved out and never looked back.

Don't be fooled by the georgous appearance of these apartments, they are not worth the inevitable heartache! The only good that came out of living here was the A for the final paper I wrote for my composition class about my expirience.
