Giving Notice

Recently moved out and rec'd a statement of charges due.

$20 for blind replacement - there was nothing wrong with the ones there
$170 for Cleaning - we already did - and why should we pay for them to clean it for someone else
$40 Rent for May 1st (see below)
$58 in water charges -

The biggest thing I can say is GIVE YOUR NOTICE BEFORE THE FIRST OF THE MONTH!!!!!!!! Or else they will charge you for a full days rent after your lease expires.

Our lease expired 4/30/07 - Gave notice on the 1st - gave keys back on April 30th - you would think you are within the 30 days, but NO!!!!!! That was only 29 days and they charged us for May 1st.

Arizona law covers this - fortunately in every other apt we have been "lucky" because we ALWAYS gave notice on the first and never got charged an additional day.

I have questioned this with Stephanie - I don't expect much from her - she has major attitude and issues - and this is just from watching her and not having to deal with her directly.

Good luck if you go - At this point I wouldn't - Place went down hill the last year.
