Overall, when my roommates and I moved in, I was pretty happy with my apartment. The community is newer, and for the price, I thought my apartment was very accomodating. I met a lot of fun people and my roommates and I had a great time living there.

However, as with many other people, we had a severe scorpion problem. I have been in Arizona for 8 years and have ONLY seen them when I lived at Pala Mesa. We found so many scorpions throughout the year and we were so disgusted by it. We actually talked to several neighbors who all complained about the same thing. Management was so RUDE when it came to addressing the problem. The only thing they could do for you was fog the apartment. This meant that we had to cover all our food, put everything away, and wash all our sheets once the fogging was over. It was such a HASSLE ... and it was only a matter of time before the damn things were back. With all the complaints they're getting, there HAS to be something that can be done. It seems like they don't care, though.

Although, that year was probably one of the best years I had in college, I wouldn't recommend the property, because of the fear I had when I lived there of finding a scorpion on the wall or scurrying across the floor.
