From a normal person... From: pheobedloused Date posted: 4/28/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008   After a year of living here I'd have to say this complex isn't that bad. This is my first apartment, and I'm glad I picked this place over one closer to ASU where there are car thefts and perverts. I lay out in a bikini by myself, do laundry at 3 in the morning, even walk to filibertos which is conveinently located a hop away, and feel safe. I am a small 19 year old, so that goes to show you. And I would say I do one of the three if not something else just as gossipable a few times a week, and still haven't run into trouble. If you are disrespectful, I think you might have a hard time though. I live upstairs and only get roaches when I don't do the dishes for a week, the way you get roaches in the first place. They just painted a few months ago and the complex looks much better than when I first moved in, which wasn't horrible. Things do break but honestly I fix most of the toilet and door hinge issues myself, it's a very simple layout. The doors may not be sealed good, but I've never had reason to complain, and also the frigd is seal tight, sometimes embarassingly hard to open. I saw a comment that said this person was self concious about having people over, they must be a pre-madonna or have no furnature, it that case yeah it will definately look like a crack house, this complex is old and has that potential. All you have to do is go to Ikea and super easy and cheap, cute apartment. The trees are definately my favorite part of living here, if you face the middle. There are always hummingbirds outdies my window, very natural feeling. Sometimes the sprinkles break but that's anywhere. Would I live here if I could afford something newer, yes. There are a few crazy people but they stick to themselves or yell at their husbans. I've made several friends here and everyone else is friendly. Not to encourage underage drinking or drug use, but it's very laid back, as long as you don't get too wild. I smoke pot in broad daylight outside my door, and have had a few get togethers with friends drinking. The cops have never bothered us. Ocasionally they'll come through the lot looking for someone in particular. The only thing that is pretty annoying is that probably about 40 times people have asked to borrow money. There are a few weird quirky people but they stick to themselves (They are very entertaining) and the ones who bother everyone get evicted quite fast. This is pretty long, everything off of the top of my head, the best way to see if it's for you is to probably just come walk through. I needed an apartment fast and easily and this is what I got, I think not so bad for no credit/no background.
