Very quiet apartment/neighborhood

This is probably the first apartment that my husband and I have truly enjoyed, and we've lived in apartments only for the past three years.
It is in a quiet community, as far as I've been able to tell.
You can hear traffic noise from Baseline Rd., but that's about it (and that's because we are directly across from Baseline Rd.).
In other apartments we have lived in, we could hear pipes/people/tv/water/everything in neighboring apartments.
It is almost a 100 percent improvement here.
Some of the apartments have views of little ponds, which are nice.
The balconies are cement with a drainage hole so water flows out past the neighbor below, which is also nice if you have plants to water or spill something.
Second floor apartments have their own private stairway.
This is a very convenient location, especially if you don't have a car.
There are buses on Power Rd.
and Baseline Rd., and there is convenient access to the U.S.
60.
Restaurants are directly across the street, as is a small hotel and car rental agency.
Harkins movie theater, Home Depot, and more restaurants across Power Rd.
(within 5-10 minutes walking distance!).
Target and KMart also right across the 60 (a few minutes driving distance).
Superstition Springs Center Mall is along the same street as the apartment.
You can see it from the complex.
We haven't had many problems with the apartment.
Maintenance could be more responsive about repairing our crappy screen doors, or balancing our washer.
The office has been responsive about getting a beehive removed near our parking space, and about locking the mailboxes when they were left open by the post person (mail has been an issue once or twice -- missing mail, but we are confident that it's the mail person and not the residents).
Pool and hot tub are nice.
Volleyball court and barbeque grills strategically-placed.
Parking is very good.
There are nearly always open spots near the front of the complex.
Yes, you will have to walk (gasp!) to get to your residence, but there are always more than a few open spots.
Re: Entry gate issues' We have never experienced any problems with the entry and exit gates.
They have always worked properly and I can't figure out how they would smash someone's car (as stated in another post) unless they were parked in the way of the gate (and that would be the driver's fault).
Just a pleasant experience so far.
Update: We just moved out of this apartment into a house, and it was sad to leave.
Yes, there were problems, but overall this was the best apartment we have ever lived in.
Our rent would have been raised to almost $1000 a month for a second floor, lake view apartment, so it was just more sensible for us to find a house.
