I lived in Saratoga Apartments for 1 year. I rented from this apartment complex only because I don't make enough to have a nicer place. The only reason I rented here was because the utilities are included.
1. The apartments are ugly. Dated wood panelled walls, dated counter tops.
2. The refridgerator and oven are not full sized, and the kitchen is tiny. No room for anything.
3. 2 of the burners were not working on my oven, I had called maintenance, they "fixed" the problem, and 2 days later, they weren't working again. I figured there was no point in contacting them again, so I just lived with 2 burners.
4. The freezer wouldn't keep my food frozen. The first time I realized this, I ended up throwing away everything in the freezer.
5. The "breeze way" is falling apart. The wood and cement are cracking.
6. I did enjoy the little built in hutch which allows more storage.
7. The gate around the pool is broken and rusted, which is quite a problem when you have a child.
8. Bea was a sweetheart, older woman who works in the office on the weekends. Marci, is an inconsiderate, rude woman who loves to use her power for evil.
9. There were countless nights where I could not sleep.
a. The walls are very thin between apartments, as well as to the outside of the building. I lived between people who liked to have sex very loudly, and people who loved to fight at all hours of the night.
b. The neighbors in my area loved to party until the wee hours of the morning.
c. I saw the cops in my area probably a total of 6 times, due to couples fighting, families fighting, a woman who was a prostitute, and a couple who were verbally and physically abusing each other.
10. The security for this apartment complex is a joke. Gomer Pile, aka the security guard, is a man in his late 40's I'm guessing, with bifocals, who rides a little bike around the complex, not stopping anyone from doing anything. Several of my neighbors had their vehicles broken into, and car parts stolen from their vehicles.
There were previous complaints about bugs and or roaches. I never had any in my apartment, however I do know that there were a few apartments in my area infested with them...I won't blame the apartment complex for that, as I do know the tenants of those apartments were disgustingly dirty.
I recently moved out of state, when you decide to vacate your apartment, please be sure to make sure your apartment is spotless. They will charge you for EVERYTHING.
