Infintile & Ignorant Management From: adam@turnerts.com Date posted: 12/16/2004 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004 1 response   My wife, daughter, and I have lived in ShadowCreek for 5 months on a 6 month lease. Thank god we didn't opt for a longer lease for a cheaper price. There's a reason they offer that. I lost my job and was unemployed for 6 weeks and informed management that I would fully uphold all late fees agreed upon in the lease and gave them a date and amount of when the payment would be made. They said that was fine. Without notifying me, they took me to small claims court for attorney fees and court costs after I had made prior arrangements with them. They said it was standard procedure. Needless to say I didn't pay it because I received no notifications from the court, but they told the judge I was notified via certified mail 2 days prior to court date. What a joke. They said I would be evicted if I didn't pay the court fees and lawyer costs. I didn't pay and I'm still there. The story goes on, but in the end, we will be moving once the lease is up. Also, it is not ShadowCreek management, it's AIMCO. Avoid all interactions or leases with the parent company.
