i'm not much of a complainer, i try to be peaceful and do the right thing, but everyone that has written in is right. They are uncaring, and rude. i moved-in with my boyfriend, who ended up being physically abusive to me. I told Management about my situation. I said i have to get out, anyway i can, i will pay anything. They told me i had to get a signature from my abusive boyfriend in order to get off the lease!! Of course that didn't happen, i left, i still helped him pay for rent, but he "supposedly" trashed the place and racked up fees from god knows where. They didn't even call to tell me this had all happened until 4 months after the lease contract was up (4 months after i signed the notice to vacate.)When i went down to see what had happend, they talked down to me, slapped me with a $4000.00 dollar bill, and said "sorry, we know you weren't living there, but we can't find your boyfriend." i'm still fighting this, but they sure like to avoid my lawyer.

Were you on the lease? If you were on the lease you are responsible for anything that took place in the apartment. You should have removed your name from the lease so when your boyfriend destroyed the apartment (which I'm sure you saw pictures of the massive damage did to this apartment)you would have had no responsibility. You can not be mad at the apartment complex for your poor judgment. After all it was your boyfrind that caused the damage.

This response definitely comes from the apartment management. It sounds to me like the girl who wrote this tried to get off of the lease but management was unwilling to help her, which I don't doubt because they are difficult to work with. How can they expect an abusive person to sign their gilfriend off of the lease? Don't they know how hard it is for an abused person to leave that kind of situation? Come on now, have some empathy...

truth00 has to be management! they could at least tried to work with the poor girl! but they don't care. it could've been a murder and they would have sent the deceased a bill for the blood stains! that's how they are cold blooded!
