This place is a nightmare. I'm afraid to move out, for fear it will be even worse. My water bill started out at 9$ a month. Then I got a note saying they needed to do a check on it. Now my bill is almost 20$ a month. I live alone and trust me, I don't have enough clothes or dirty dishes to run up a big water bill. And, I thought they were paying the trash pick up. How come it shows up on my bill each month.

The average bill is $15 to $35 dollars.
If your meter wasn't working you wouldn't have been paying for your usage. Did you talk to the office, do you know what's going on? Did you get charged for the water you didn't have to pay for when your meter wasn't working? Sounds like your not being taken advantage of. What's your complaint?
