The new management is AWFUL! I have lived here going on 3 years so I know this is true in comparison. They recently painted the buildings and when they went to paint the trim, ENTERED MY APT WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE OR PERMISSION. They dripped paint on my entry way tile and carpet. They even dripped paint on my shoes yet when I asked them to replace a $30 pair of shoes, the response was to tell corporate and there I encountered Mr. Sauter, the CEO who wrote, "we owe you nothing!" and I have the email to prove it. When I said I would escalate, he sent me a snarly email saying I shouldn't threaten him because they would defend their position "vigorously." How they could possibly defend coming into my apt without telling me and then damaging my property remains to be seen. Entering a dwelling without notice or permission for a non-emergency issue is actually against the law.

The office staff doesn't care now- if you go to them with a problem they tell you they will take care of it, but they don't. Plus they act as if they really don't care, but maybe it's not an "act." They seem overwhelmed and overworked. Becky even told me in the last month she's only had 2 days off. A girl I met in the gym told me she has lived here a month & they still haven't fixed her washer. That's what I mean- it's the management, not the property that sucks here.
That being said, the location and floorplans are wonderful. But with management the way it is, I will definitely not renew this time. It's too bad, this WAS a nice place to live.

You should persue this in court. The lowest amount you would be awarded is one month free rent, if you didn't receive any notice. If they sent you a letter 48 hours in advance they are allowed to enter without your permission...however, if they didn't ask for permission you need to contact a tenant advocate. You have a serious lawsuit on your hands.
