My impression of this apartment is on rocky ground. If you never had to worry about calling the office you'd be in generally good shape! However, if you do have to call the office (and if they answer) they are usually polite and tell you they will take care of the problem or refer a message to someone who can. Unfortunately they NEVER do!

Our garbage disposal does not work, we have filed a complaint and they have not responded with it.

Our kitchen sink is bowed up (water damage') and they have not given us a solution or responded to fix it.

Maintenance left a flyer on every door to let tenants know that they would be entering the apartments to change smoke detectors. We called and let the office know that we just had a newborn baby and that my wife and I did not feel comfortable with visitors, let alone grungy repairmen. If our baby gets sick (premie baby) she could suffer the consequences for the rest of her life because her immune system is not strong enough yet. I spoke with Robin and she was very polite and said she would let the maintenance crew know NOT TO COME IN. Well this morning at about 9am as my wife was breastfeeding, guess who proceeded to unlock and open the door' 2 maintenance men.

Management seems to only be concerned with renting the apartments out, and not keeping the tenants happy. After all, we are paying a LOT OF MONEY to live here, so we feel they should respect our wishes.

We are filing a formal complaint because issues like these should NOT happen.

Wow, someone is quick to judge! You're right, there are two deadbolts. I had to leave for work and of course could not lock the upper deadbolt. I also felt like since my wife was up all night with the baby and that she was finally sleeping, that she could lock the upper deadbolt when she woke up. (I left a note to remind her) Whoever wrote this message (Brett; apt manager?) obviously does not have a baby of their own or understand what it is like to be a parent. You call it "stupidity" on "my part" to trust the management here to do what they say in advising the maintenance of such a serious potential issue. How would I go about locking both deadbolts when I go out the door? Are you really implying that I should climb out a window? That is ignorance at its finest. Another note; I find it very ironic that I received a phone call from my apartment manager at 4:13pm yesterday randomly asking if my garbage disposal had been fixed yet. He said he was just reviewing a work order and wanted to know if the service had been performed yet. Now that I checked my email and saw someone had commented on my review of the apartment complex at 3:34pm, I find it all too ironic that Brett (apt manager) happened to call 39 minutes after a response like this was made to my review. The comments here are rude and aggressive, however he (on the phone) appeared to be extremely concerned and apologetic. This is the exact behavior I am describing in this management company. UNTRUSTWORTHY. Also, in order to make this post (which I am sure he did!) he would have to LIE and mark a box saying he did not work here and that he was just a tenant. Moreover, I think I remember him saying he has worked here for 3 years. Even HE agrees the management has gone downhill. that is just SAD. Anyway, in summary. Yes there are two deadbolts, I don't feel like I should have to use them every second of every day to know that my wife is SAFE IN OUR HOME. And whats worse, that she is not safe from the very people we rent from. Read some other reviews about this apartment complex and the maintenance crew entering these apartments unauthorized.

I am not the management- of course the only way to prove that would be to give you my name or apt # - which I'm not about to do, especially since you obviously are a somewhat paranoid hot-head. I am NOT the management and I have had my share of problems with them. That is why if I didn't want them to come in - I would've locked both. If you've had so many problems with them responding, why on earth would you think they would honor their word & not come in? I appreciate that you wanted your wife to get some sleep- but the simple point is, if you really wanted to protect your preemie from the "grungy" maintenance crew, you would've had her lock the door behind you- simple. I never implied you should climb out the window- that is rediculousness at its best. As for the time the management called you about your garbage disposal, you can bet I had nothing to do with that. You can be sarcastic and say that my reply is rude or agressive- but that doesn't change the fact that you had a means at your disposal to assure that no one entered your apartment and you didn't avail yourself of it. In summary- no one said you should have to lock both "every second of every day" - but when you know they are coming to inspect and you don't want them in there... LOCK BOTH DEADBOLTS. ~S
