Get what you pay for

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
While I was in a serious crunch, University Green was able to provide move in breaks that allowed me to save money over other apartments. While the place was new at the time, the problems came more from the surrounding neighborhood than anything else. Aside from having my car vandalized, car alarms go off all hours of the evening, people speed 30 mph through the complex etc. The apartment office refused to allow me to switch car port spots for any reason.
The real issue came from my move out. I was charged some bogus fees after being forced to stay 2 extra months cause of their 60 day move out notice. Still, I paid the fees for move out. 4 months went by and I was served with a collections notice that I didn't pay. I was never called, no letters were sent or any attempt to contact me made. I was unable to contact the collection agency. I called University Green who promised to speak to their book handler and straighten out the issue. I never heard back from University Green despite their promise to help. Since then my credit has been destoryed and only receintly did I get the claim recalled. It will take me 4 months to get my credit record straightened out because these people cannot manage their books and made no attempt to contact me when there was an issue.
It was a great deal but you get what you pay for. I had high hopes but was glad to leave this place behind me.
