I'm sorry I haven't written sooner, but I do want to make sure that I congratulate both the maintenance crew and office personnel on taking care of me when my airconditioner went out. I called in after hours and Henry Balgermann was at my home within half an hour looking at the problem. This turned out to be a major breakdown of the unit and he continued to work on the problem through the next day. The temperature was 105 degrees and he was concerned that as the problem continued through Friday he wouldn't be able to find a solution before the next week. He even went out and purchased a part from his own pocket to try to fix the problem, however, even though the unit was only 3 months old there was still a major problem with the unit.
On Friday the office staff (Stephany Kaaloa and Diana Acevedo) came to my apartment an offered to let me move into the show unit or let me use a portable unit. I declined both offers as I had used the portable unit when my last unit broke and it is completely useless (you need to come up with a different solution) and as I had 2 cats I didn't want to move all three of us. The third solution of crediting me 3 days on my October rent was a benefit I did not expect but really appreciated!
I survived, and as soon as my new airconditioner arrived on Monday Henry installed it and I had a good night sleep.
I can't emphasize enough how much Henry Balgermann (who is a recent employee) went out of his way to work on and fix my problem. He is a treasure and should be supported to make any changes he feels is needed to make his job easier and more efficient. I feel that he has a real commitment to his job and should be supported. Stephany and Diana also should be thanked for making sure that I was comfortable with my options in a bad situation.
I have lived here from the end of 2005 I think for the first time you have a good crew - please listen and support them.
